This does not look good for Boeing. I think there has to be consequences or quality assurance will turn into a joke.
The issues that this guy was "whistleblowing" about were from long ago. He retired in 2017. Since that time he had been involved in lawsuits against Boeing.
We live on a small airport. Our longtime next-door neighbor also worked as a “quality assurance manager” for Boeing. When he left Boeing, he went to work for the FAA.
I don't want to go into specifics this morning, but our neighbor has a long history of behavior that has been on the fringe. He is a quiet man but can be very scary. He is very well armed and if I heard that he went on a “Falling Down” (movie) type rampage or shot himself I would not find that surprising.
Even if he was still working for Boeing... I am not sure why such an event would have any reflection on the company.
Are the quality issues with Boeing a feature or just incompetence? What better way to get the common person to give up free movement to distant places than to scare them into not traveling. I smell a 15 minute city rat in all of this.
