Deflating security: Biden sells federal helium reserve, threatens us industries… National security on the line as critical element supply diminishes.
In a surprising turn of events, the U.S. government has auctioned off the Federal Helium Reserve, a subterranean treasure in Amarillo, Texas, responsible for supplying up to 30% of the nation’s helium needs. This critical element is indispensable in medical technologies, cryogenics, semiconductors, and even rocket propulsion systems.

Need a better driller, roughneck, wireline, and frac crew.
Should have been done in ten days or less for 2,200 ft.
It’s Minnesota - Slow motion Libs don’t like to move fast
Exactly, that caught my attention too, and throws doubt on everything.
You can drill 5000 feet in 2 weeks without straining anything.
How soon before the drilling area is declared an Indian burial ground, the home of the endangered land dolphin and the 437th holiest site in Islam?
My Helium Pillows soon?
Could this bring back the Bee Gees?
I know drillers ruined many a bits to get it...in the past....
Glad to see another drilling success for it....
Or...that Congress critter’s by their authority own it all
Indian tribes in Alberta have consulted oil industry geologists to help them define their “sacred sites”.
I am sure Biden will be shutting it down 3….2…1…. it has been reported that we have had a real shortage of helium!!!
Great to hear since the USG sold the helium reserves, we’re regulating out drill areas that were hittin 3% helium and no helium no MRI, CAT … Scans. Our government wants us dead. Helium is actually quite rare and must be seperated from fractions or regular natural gas wells. Seems like it could be made as a byproduct of nuclear reaction but I’m neither a chemist on nuclear engineer.
Should be a boon to the old ‘iron range’. Good for them.
This is a critical natural resource! Great news!
now that there is funny.... :)
