And, why is it the objective? Because the Ukraine and NATO refuse to stop attacking Russian Federation territory.
So, the Russians most certainly WILL create a buffer zone to protect their territory and citizens. Nothing will stop them from doing so except a Ukrainian surrender and promise that Ukraine will remain a neutral country.
This war was one we provoked by fomenting an illegal coup in 2014 and installing a puppet government hostile to Russia and the ethnic population in Ukraine.
It's a proxy war the Biden regime. It's been total a failure and biggest US foreign policy debacle since Vietnam.
