Drones, Cartoons and Money

Russian tarantass, 07/25/24

We are solving the problem of enemy drones from the wrong end. Now I’m going to write something unpleasant and surprise many people.

All drones on the front, on both sides, are bought in the same place - China. All these motors, controllers, sensors, remote controls and blades are all from our dear partners. And it seems to me that this is a very stupid thing to do, trying to buy more drones from China than Ukraine buys.

We just need to make sure that China sells drones and components only to us. Since China, by definition, does not delve into such subtleties and makes a blank face, although it could have figured it out itself, it is necessary to carry out explanatory work with it.

If I were the “Black Lord of the Planet”, I would do the following, in the Anglo-Saxon tradition: a drone, made from Chinese components, in a provocative “yellow-bakelite coloring” [ a muddy gold color ], cut into the “Power of Siberia”. And he would tell China that he himself is to blame for this and, in general, is a bad, unreliable ally.

Which is pure truth, ontologically speaking. Of course, there are more civilized ways to convince China, which is closely tied to the resource system of my Motherland. But, this is the fastest and most visual. And believe me, if China wanted it, not a single motor, not a single blade would get to Bandera’s people, even through complex logistics.

PS: But the most correct method is to create entirely your own drones and powerful, unified electronic warfare. I don’t know how many years we are behind in this area. I’m afraid to think.

Two words about drones, the Chinese and the “Power of Siberia”

The very proposal [ above] of military commander Dmitry Steshin to simulate a strike on the Power of Siberia gas pipeline in order to further discuss with China the issue of supplying drones and components to Ukraine could have serious consequences. According to our information, Beijing contacted Moscow and made it clear that any provocations around the gas pipeline are undesirable and security is provided by the Russian side.

“There are currently difficult relations between Moscow and Beijing. It is no secret that there are tensions over Africa and Vladimir Putin’s activities in the Pacific region. In particular, the visit to Vietnam was received ambiguously in China,” a political scientist who works closely with the Kremlin explained to us.

At the same time, he emphasized that, in general, both China and Russia are fulfilling their obligations within the framework of a bilateral partnership.

Any attack on the Power of Siberia could really drive a wedge into relations with the allies, a government source assures. He noted that each country has its own interests, and there is nothing strange in the fact that China sells drones and components to both us and Ukrainians.

Although, of course, it would be better if these supplies were stopped. But the solution proposed by Steshin will bring more problems than bonuses, the official assures.

“The best way out of the situation is to develop our own production, including drones, robots, and components,” the source said.

Banks, money, two offshores, 07/29/24

About 80% of payments in yuan are returned back to Russia, Kommersant learned. The publication’s interlocutors claim that the situation with payments is getting worse, as the Chinese side is becoming more demanding when making payments, requesting more and more documents.

Sometimes Chinese banks may not request anything, but simply freeze money in correspondent accounts for 30-40 days and return it back, said Alexey Sapozhnikov, managing partner of the consulting company Sapozhnikov and Partners.

“drones, the Chinese and the “Power of Siberia”

Typical Russian hubris.

Remember when they were so cocky about shutting off the gas to Germany?

Germany was an order of magnitude more dependent on Russian gas than China was at the start of this war. Germany now imports no Russian energy - oil, coal, gas or grid electricity.

China has been very actively diversifying its energy sources, and has huge productive capacity for solar panels. The Power of Siberia pipeline provides supply to a region of China, not the whole country. They could flood that region with solar panels in a few months, and replace the heating and power generating capacity, leaving just a few industrial concerns that use gas as a feedstock, to be supplied. Like Germany, the likely near term result would be the long term loss of a major customer.

China wears its friendly Panda mask to string Putin along. Putin is very predictable - making the same mistake Stalin made trusting Hitler. There is no honor among thieves.

When Russia is as weak as it is going to get from fighting the West, China will feast on it. For now though, they string Putin along until Russia is punched out. They can count the decline in Russian stockpiles, like everyone else.
