Negotiations with the Americans have reached an impasse. There is good and bad news

Donald Trump made a sharp statement about Vladimir Putin. He said that the Russian president “let him down” on the issue of resolving the war. Moreover, Trump hinted at his readiness to resort to tough methods against Russia, “if necessary.” The Presidential Administration is in no hurry to comment on this statement by the American leader. But they state that the dialogue between Moscow and Washington in terms of the negotiation process has reached an impasse.

“The good news is that we have closer contacts with partners in Asia - China, India and the DPRK. And the United States has problems with Europe. They can't come to an agreement,” the source said. Another source notes that Beijing is showing interest in buying Russian oil at a discount.

“The bad news is that Trump is putting pressure on the Europeans not to buy our oil. If he suddenly crushes them, then there is little good in it. (Trump - Ed.) A stubborn old man,” the source said. He stressed that a number of EU countries are already announcing plans to completely abandon oil from the Russian Federation by the end of 2026.

What is behind the recognition of Roman Alekhine as a foreign agent?

Former adviser to the Kursk governor Roman Alekhin was on the register of foreign agents. The Ministry of Justice said that Alekhine was recognized as a foreign agent for reposts of other foreign agents and “dissemination of false information” about the authorities of the Russian Federation. This was preceded by the distribution of a video in which Alekhin talks about the scheme of money laundering through charitable projects. Let's say right away - this is not an accident. Sources say that Alekhine may be imprisoned for large-scale fraud. But, most likely, he will be sent to the NWO [war in Ukraine]. “Alekhine was the face of Russian volunteering, this situation has a bad effect on the NWO as a whole,” said a source in the Ministry of Defense.

Another interlocutor pointed to the political context of the decision.

“Most recently, Sergei Markov [see below] became a foreign agent. Now Alekhine. Obviously, loyalty is critically important for the authorities,” a source in the political elites said. He noted that since it is impossible to measure loyalty, there will be more and more foreign agents in the near future.

Several sources in the circles of military bloggers at once considered the decision on Alekhine an alarming signal. But they expressed the hope that this would not turn into large-scale repressions against military correspondents.

In the past, the opposition in Russia was sent to Siberia - now they are being sent off like meat to the war.

22AUG2025 On Friday, Russia's Justice Ministry expanded its list of “foreign agents,” targeting four individuals and two media projects. Among those freshly blacklisted is political analyst Sergey Markov, who once served in the State Duma with United Russia and later acted as a trusted spokesperson for President Vladimir Putin during the 2012 elections. Today, he is a familiar Russian commentator in the U.S. and U.K. news media, where he's typically quoted as a pro-Kremlin pundit. Early reports suggest that the designation may be connected to Markov's supportive comments about Azerbaijan, a country with which Russia is experiencing significant diplomatic tensions.

Markov's recent commentary on the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict has consistently favored Azerbaijan's narrative. He celebrated Baku's offensive in Nagorno-Karabakh as “a brilliant, uncontested victory admired by the whole world.”

OPEC+(which Russia is a member of) has been increasing oil output quotas, recently 100,000 barrels a day with over a million coming soon.
The price of oil is dropping, urals by 9$, and more coming.

China and India are demanding further discounts from Russia, add to that increased production and transport costs and Russia can sell all the oil theu want, bit won’t be making much if any profit.

As general winter arrives Russia will be forced to dump oil to prevent damage to their wells and pipelines, that is whatever is left after Ukrainian attacks🤔
