Attack On Europe: Documenting Russian Equipment Losses During The 2022 Russian Invasion Of Ukraine (2 year anniversary)

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When a vehicle is captured and then lost in service with its new owners, it is only added as a loss of the original operator to avoid double listings. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it's not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available.

😅 After an unsuccessful attempt to escape and shoot down an FPV drone, a Russian soldier decided to try to shoot it down with a punch…

👇👀 A captured Russian soldier (Chubrevych Vidzhia Ivanovich, born 10.11.1988) talks about his interaction with the North Koreans in the Kursk region.

In short, everything is very bad. The Russians call them scumbags who fight on their own and shoot at their own (ruzzian) drones.

There is also a certain envy in the Russian's words. Not only do the North Koreans eat much better, but they also treat their corpses much more carefully than Russian commanders.

In general, the Russians are dissatisfied with such allies. 😁😉

The fight between WBA, WBC, WBO, and Ring Magazine champion Oleksandr Usyk and former WBC champion Tyson Fury:

After the victory, Usyk raised the famous saber of Hetman Ivan Mazepa, a historic figure who fought for Ukraine's independence against russia 300 years ago.

First of all, it is a reminder of the three centuries long russian aggression against Ukraine. This is for those brainwashed idiots who still blame the US, NATO, or even Ukraine for the russian aggression.

Second, it is a symbol of Ukrainian resilience. Ukrainian Cossacks have defeated russians in the past, so Ukrainians can also defeat russians today.

💥 Russians are blowing up banks & ATMs as they are increasingly unable to pay sliding loans given to them, subsidized by the government, as the key interest rate keeps ticking upwards.

I guess the ruzzians have never heard of "fixed rate" loans.

According to a report from the New York Times, Putin reportedly paid Kim Jong Un up to $6 billion for weapons and soldiers sent to the Kursk region. Kim received approximately $315 million for sending 11,000 North Korean soldiers to Kursk. The arms supplies to Russia are estimated to be worth between $1.72 billion and $5.5 billion. Part of the payment was made in cash, while the rest was exchanged through barter, including oil and food.

$315 million for 11,000 Norks is only $28,636 per dead Nork, that is a bargain.

“1,820” (casualties in a day)

Looks like they are pushing for all they are worth, before Trump is inaugurated.

Clearly, that is unsustainable long term.

An inflection point is coming - a new phase in the war.

The calculus is in a for a big shake up, come inauguration day. No one knows what to expect, for sure, but no one expects it to be small ball.

“Russia’s Orlyov oil refinery has just been visited by Ukrainian drones”

Kyiv Independent reports:

“A “massive” Ukrainian drone attack targeted an oil depot near the city of Oryol in western Russia overnight, causing a fire at the site, Oryol Oblast Governor Andrey Klychkov reported on Dec. 22.

Klychkov claimed that Russian forces downed 20 drones over Oryol Oblast targeting fuel and energy infrastructure facilities. Local authorities reported the attack at around 1 a.m. local time...

...The attack comes just one week after Ukrainian drones struck the same oil depot, causing a large fire to break out. The fire reportedly burned for several days following the attack. The General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces said after the Dec. 14 attack that the depot in the Stalnoy Kon village is among the largest oil product terminals in Russia and is “part of the Russian military-industrial complex, providing supplies of petroleum products for the Russian army.””

Putin again jerks the reins of his energy weapon, attempting to coerce his remaining few European energy dependents, for Christmas, and during the cold of Winter. When will they learn not to rely on Putin?

OilPrice.com reports:

“It’s happened again. The Druzhba pipeline—Russia’s aging oil lifeline to Europe—has gone silent, leaving Hungary, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic without their usual crude oil fix. (This is a separate issue from the Druzbha natural gas pipeline, whose transshipment agreement through Ukraine ends this New Year’s Day - but this could well be Putin trying to pressure Hungary and Slovakia to keep buying Russian gas somehow)

According to sources, the culprit is a “technical issue” at a Russian pumping station in the Bryansk region. Transneft, the pipeline’s operator, has yet to speak on the issue, but Belarus has confirmed the disruption, saying its refineries are dipping into reserves to keep running. (Russia has often used the excuse of “technical issues” to shut of flows, until it gets the political concessions it demands)

This pipeline, capable of carrying 2 million barrels per day (bpd), has been trucking along with just 300,000 bpd lately, thanks to sanctions and Europe’s pivot from Russian energy. Still, for nations like Hungary and Slovakia—granted waivers by the EU due to their heavy dependency—this hiccup is a headache.

As for how long it will be stalled this time, opinions vary. Some sources think it’s a quick fix—just a couple of days. Others say we could be looking at the end of the month before things are back to normal. Meanwhile, alternative routes from Russian ports like Novorossiisk are still humming along, and there’s talk of diverting supply there if Druzhba’s downtime drags on.

This isn’t the first time Druzhba’s been in the spotlight. Earlier this month, flows to the Czech Republic were interrupted but quickly restored (just after Czechia announced that they would terminate their Russian oil contract next Summer).

Given the pipeline’s aging infrastructure and shrinking role in European energy, we may be seeing the start of its slow fade into irrelevance, particularly given that the Czech Republic would phase out all Russian oil imports by July 2025.

For now, Europe’s energy puzzle is growing increasingly more complicated, and Russia’s reliability as a supplier is taking yet another hit.”

Russian Offensive Campaign Assessment, December 22, 2024

Russian President Vladimir Putin repeated his latest assertion that he should have violated the ceasefire he had imposed on Ukraine in 2014 and 2015 by launching a full-scale invasion even earlier than February 2022. Putin reiterated during an interview with Kremlin journalist Pavel Zarubin on December 22 that Russia should have started its full-scale invasion of Ukraine earlier than February 2022 but added that it is impossible to say exactly when that should have been.[1] Putin blamed Ukraine and the West for “misleading” Russia and not implementing the Minsk II Accords, which Putin claimed gave the West time to prepare Ukraine for future “military actions” against Russia. Putin claimed that Russia should have “prepared for this” and “chosen the right moment” to begin its full-scale invasion of Ukraine and not “waited for the moment when it was no longer possible to do nothing.” Putin failed to mention that Ukraine worked to strengthen its military as a defensive response to Russia's 2014 annexation of Ukrainian territory and the launch of a war in the country's east. Putin made similar remarks during his December 19 Direct Line televised press conference wherein he claimed that he would have made the decision to launch his full-scale invasion earlier if he could do it over again.[2] Putin also claimed on December 19 that Ukraine did not abide by the Minsk II Accords and that Russia “spontaneously” invaded Ukraine in 2022. The Minsk II Accords were notably extremely favorable to Russia, placing no obligations on Moscow – which was party to the negotiations as an alleged neutral mediator.[3] The Accords established a “ceasefire” that Russian proxies continually violated with Russian support.[4]

North Korea may have transferred at least four additional ballistic missiles to Russia. Footage published on December 21 purportedly shows trains, reportedly in Tyumen Oblast, transporting 10 M-1939 Koksan artillery systems and four Pukguksong-2 (KN-15) medium- or intermediate-range ballistic missiles or Hwasongpho-11Na (KN-24) short-range ballistic missiles.[58] Ukrainian and Russian sources noted, however, that the low quality of the footage makes it difficult to confirm the cargo on the train, particularly the alleged missiles.[59] ISW has previously observed reports of North Korea transferring Koksan artillery systems to Russia, and Russian forces have often included North Korean KN-23 short-range ballistic missiles in their strike packages targeting Ukraine.[60] ISW cannot independently verify the location or cargo of the Russian train.

North Korea appears to be preparing to deploy additional troops and military equipment to Russia, possibly including suicide drones, in support of Moscow’s war against Ukraine, the South’s military said Monday. The assessment came as North Korea is believed to have sent thousands of troops to fight for Russia in its war against Ukraine, with the number of casualties estimated to be around 1,100, according to the South’s spy agency.

“A comprehensive assessment of multiple intelligence shows that North Korea is preparing to rotate or increase the deployment of troops (in Russia), while currently supplying 240 millimeter rocket launchers and 170 mm self-propelled artillery,” the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) said.
