Posts on FR about our military are now consistently and openly hostile and demeaning. The level of intellectual discourse is the lowest in the 23 years I’ve been here.
—
Those attacks on the military are usually led by a small group of very obnoxious and hostile Pro Russian trolls who can pretty much say whatever they want with impunity.
Reporting them seldom results in anything good. They only get knocked back when they get too carried away. But very very few are kicked.
“...Posts on FR about our military are now consistently and openly hostile and demeaning...”
It is shocking. While we all push back against the insane woke culture being pushed everywhere, our military is still filled with many men of quality. We have America-haters all over FR who constantly demean our soldiers, sailors, and airmen.
Then they come back with a different name and start all over again

Spring conscription into the army starts on April 1. Will conscripts be sent to war?
In less than two weeks, spring conscription for military service starts in Russia. From April 1 to July 15, they plan to call up about 135 thousand people liable for military service.
The head of the State Duma Defense Committee, Andrei Kartapolov, has already stated that there are no plans to attract conscripts to the Northern Military District zone. At the same time, he kept silent about another important point.
Conscripts are involved in the protection of military facilities outside the special operation zone. At the same time, conscripts serve in the navy, including on ships of the Black Sea Fleet. Conscripts also serve in border areas. also take place from time to time We are talking about the Belgorod, Bryansk, and Kursk regions, on whose territory battles .
That is, will conscripts be sent to the Northern Military District zone? For now, most likely not. Will they have the opportunity to take part in battles? Undoubtedly, some of them will have such an opportunity. Moreover, after military service, soldiers will be actively campaigned to remain in contract service.
This already implies direct participation in the SVO. It is known that even at the conscription stage, recruits will be invited to contract service in existing units.

Our ship was blown up in the Baltic Sea, the latest electronic warfare system was lost
The fire on the trawler “Captain Lobanov” in the Baltic Sea, which occurred the day before, was the result of a bomb planted on board the ship. As a result of sabotage, valuable equipment was lost.
“On board the trawler there was an experimental electronic warfare system. New and expensive, it hasn’t even been named yet. We carried out tests and jammed NATO’s GPS signal. The explosion completely disabled this system,” a source in the Baltic Fleet command told us.
The electronic warfare system was installed on a trawler, and not on a warship, for secrecy. Obviously, one of the enemies found out about this and committed sabotage.
It is also known that three people died - two military personnel and one crew member.
Unfortunately, this is not the first incident with our fleet in the Baltic Sea. Recently, the Dmitrov submarine was attacked there by unknown naval drones. Fortunately, serious damage was avoided in this case.

The rate of the new tax that will be introduced in Russia has been determined. How much and who will need to pay?
The childlessness tax rate, which is planned to be introduced this year (it will affect citizens from 23-25 to 47-50 years old who do not have children, the issue of age is still being discussed), will most likely be 9%.
This figure was submitted to Vladimir Putin for approval by specialists from the Federal Tax Service and the Ministry of Finance.
The new tax is planned to be introduced in June-July. The funds received from it will be used to support large families and payments to Northern Military District veterans who want to start families. However, not all childless citizens will pay the new tax.
A list of exceptions is being developed. [ Military men, bureaucrats administering the program, and certain elite like Putin’s girlfriend. ]
It is worth noting that the introduction of a “tax on SVO”, which will improve the financing of the army, as well as an increase in a number of existing taxes, are also expected this year. But they will most likely be separated in time with the introduction of a tax on childlessness.
“We hope for the consciousness of citizens. Strengthening family values, our struggle, which is being waged within the framework of the Northern Military District, is very important. We believe that the new taxes will be paid carefully and on time - for the benefit of Russia,” a source in the Kremlin said on this occasion.
Lol 9%, still a bargain compared to having children and paying for them.
The desperation of this is incredible
Since Russia has annexed the oblasts in Ukraine according to Russian law they are territories of Russia, (which is why, I believe, Putin had them annexed) so technically conscripts can be sent there to fight and “defend” mother Russia
Anyone who doesn’t think they will be sent to the front has their head in the sand or are lying
As to northern district, I can see no reason why they won’t be sent there, besides the fact that they need the meat for the smo, it is not an active front. No different than sending anywhere else in Russia to “serve”.
If people don’t want to pay the childlessness tax, they could emigrate.
After a bit though, Putin will probably have to start building walls to keep people in.
In a free country that might be possible, to go really dark I can see Putin setting up baby factories, not unlike another short guy with a small mustache, for Ukranian women. To fill his ranks of meat
Joe Blogs on YouTube reports on increased commercial bankruptcies in Russia (up 60% year over year in January and February).
For the last three quarters of 2023, wage costs increased about 10% more that sales prices, due to competition from Defense industries and the Military, and other input costs also increased more than sales prices due to sanctions. In the same timeframe, interest rates doubled to a base rate of 16% (meaning businesses must pay 18%-20%, or more).
Commercial businesses outside of the Defense industry that have to fend for themselves and make profits, have really been squeezed. They are now also facing the prospect of higher tax rates, and cascading contagion risks of their business partners (suppliers, lenders, B2B customers) going bankrupt.
The Chinese are rapidly taking over Russia’s civilian economy, as Russian businesses are hollowed out and destroyed by Putinism.
If people don’t want to pay the childlessness tax, they could emigrate.

They need approval to emigrate, which they will not get until they pay the tax and maybe not even then - they’d have to sneak out.

Two strategic bombers were damaged in Engels, but “nothing serious”
According to three of our sources in the Aerospace Forces, as a result of a drone attack on the Engels-2 airfield, two Tu-95MS strategic bombers were damaged.
“The damage is not critical, there is nothing serious. They will fly, just not now,” said one of our interlocutors.
According to another, 4 of his employees died at the airfield. But all other sources did not confirm this information to us.

“This could change everything.” Will 40-50 thousand NATO troops be sent to Ukraine?
Many were excited by Sergei Naryshkin’s information that France was already preparing to send the first 2,000 of its military to Ukraine. It turns out that the situation is much more serious.
The Foreign Intelligence Service, together with the military, prepared a report that as early as this year, up to 40-50 thousand military personnel from NATO countries may end up in Ukraine.
“It could be the French, the British, the Poles, the Baltic states, the Americans and even the Turks. There is an option that they will appear in the SVO zone along with Western weapons.
“In addition, it is possible that attacks on the positions of our troops will be carried out by Western aircraft. And it will take off from airfields located on the territory of NATO countries,” an intelligence source told us.
According to him, the Foreign Intelligence Service and the military are preparing to submit a corresponding report to Vladimir Putin.
“This ( the appearance of NATO troops in Ukraine - ed ) could change everything during the Northeast Military District. And not in our favor. On the other hand, I have long wanted to fight with NATO,” a source in the Ministry of Defense familiar with the report told us.
A great clone army. (Chicoms will like this too)
“They need approval to emigrate... - they’d have to sneak out.”
Just like the good old days...
“as early as this year, up to 40-50 thousand military personnel from NATO countries may end up in Ukraine.”
Maybe that is a Contingency Plan, in case there is a cease fire agreement.
Hazard to navigation and insurance issues with Russia’s “shadow fleet” smuggler vessels starting to manifest.
OilPrice.com reports:
Shadow Fleet Tanker Destined To Carry Sanctioned Russian Oil Causes Collision (By Julianne Geiger - Mar 19, 2024)
“a shadow fleet oil tanker (involved in) carrying sanctioned Russian crude oil was involved in a collision at sea near Denmark, the Danish Maritime Authority said in a Tuesday statement.
15-year-old Andromeda Star, an oil tanker set bound for Russia to load Russian Urals crude oil at the Primorsk port, had the capacity to carry 700,000 barrels of crude oil. The tanker was not carrying oil at the time of the collision...
...Shadow vessels operate outside the laws of the traditional maritime industry, often lack traditional—or any—insurance to protect against loss, and use risky methods of concealment to hide their location and activities by turning off transponders.
An October 2023 Politico article referring to Russia’s shadow fleet as “a disaster waiting to happen.” It turns out they were right.
The Andromeda Star is shrouded in mystery, with undisclosed owners, managed by a company in India without a registered phone number, and not insured through the International Group of P&I Clubs—the industry standard.”
