Attack On Europe: Documenting Russian Equipment Losses During The 2022 Russian Invasion Of Ukraine (2 year anniversary)

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When a vehicle is captured and then lost in service with its new owners, it is only added as a loss of the original operator to avoid double listings. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it's not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available.

Wildberries...

“Russia’s Richest Woman Says Estranged Spouse Sparked Armed Clash”

“Police say one killed near Wildberries office: Interfax”

“Russia’s richest woman, Tatyana Bakalchuk, accused her estranged husband of attempting to seize the Moscow headquarters of the country’s biggest e-commerce platform, which she owns.

“I am publicly appealing to law enforcement agencies to take control of this situation,” Bakalchuk said in a Telegram post on Wednesday. She said three people were injured and named Vladislav Bakalchuk, a co-founder of Wildberries whom Tatyana announced she was divorcing in July, as among those who led the people attempting to enter the building in central Moscow, not far from the Kremlin.

Police later said one person was killed in a shooting near the company headquarters and about 30 people were detained, according to the Interfax news service.

Tension between the couple unexpectedly spilled into public view in July. The notorious head of Russia’s Chechnya region, Ramzan Kadyrov, posted a video statement on his Telegram channel with Vladislav sitting beside him and alleging that his wife “is doing business with a strange company under the guise of a merger that takes the business away and withdraws assets.”

Vladislav said in a post on Telegram on Wednesday that he came to the Wildberries headquarters for planned negotiations, but was stopped by security and other “unknown people” who “provoked an armed conflict.” He said that one of his colleagues was wounded.

Tatyana is worth $8.1 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. She holds a 99% stake in Wildberries while her husband controls the remaining 1%.

The company in June announced a venture with Russ Group, the nation’s biggest outdoor advertiser, to build a digital market for small and medium-sized businesses to promote and export their products. Vladislav opposed the deal, saying it wasn’t beneficial to his family. Under Russian law, divorcing spouses should equally split assets that were acquired during the marriage.

Tatyana started Wildberries while on maternity leave from her job as a teacher in 2004.”

“Viktor Orban’s Big Bet on EVs Isn’t Quite Going to Plan”

“Hungary has more at stake on a quick transition than any country in Europe, and the slowdown is now taking its toll on the economy.”

“The noise from the battery factory got so loud that Mihaly Nedo said he was forced to shut his windows at night. Then he noticed something.

After the spring test run at the new facility, built by South Korean company SK On to supply electric vehicles, the sound had turned into more of a murmur by summer. “It’s become a lot more quiet lately,” Nedo said last week as he tended to his garden adjacent to the plant in the small town of Ivancsa, a 45-minute drive south of Budapest. “It’s kind of unsettling.”

The lack of conspicuous production is also disconcerting for the Hungarian economy, and a prime minister who has bet more on the transition to EVs than any other European leader.

Under nationalist premier Viktor Orban, the country attracted about $20 billion in EV-related investments since 2017. The aim was to ramp up battery capacity faster than any other country in the world and give the economy a badly needed shot in the arm. That’s taking longer than expected.

A sharp slowdown in the sales of pricier European EVs and a brewing trade war with China are making Hungary vulnerable. Volkswagen AG, which has a major outpost in Hungary, said this month it was considering factory closures and job cuts. Hungarian industrial output has plunged, dragged down by car and battery manufacturing.

Rather than a new era of growth, there’s the prospect of another recession just as Orban faces the most credible political opponent of his 14-year rule. Gross domestic product contracted in the second quarter.

“Having this economic downturn could not have come at a worse moment for Orban,” said Edit Zgut-Przybylska, assistant professor of politics and sociology at the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw.”

I will respectfully disagree that their threat to controlling information and speech is a “short term” threat

It all begins and ends with that. Just imagine if information comes out showing that the FAA and EPA are doing what they are doing for the reasons you state.

Without X that information would never see the light of day.

Just look back to twitter days with hunter laptop, Covid, 2020, J6, and look at it now

Agree with you on the security he needs, except it better be far better.
Lots of very powerful people stand to lose their gravy trains

To some extent I think Ukraine is a Victim of this. We could have given weapons with the capability to do the most damage before Russia could react and move their assets. Even now Russia benefits from western “restraint”, meanwhile the MIC gets their pockets filled with this drip drip drip approach.

My comment will likely upset some here, but I did spend almost 40 years in The service and I have seen lots of examples of waste and corruption. KC-46 is just one example.

“Russian Ministry of Defense earlier revealed details about the arsenal destroyed in Toropets last night. Built in 2018, the facility was one of approximately a dozen across Russia and housed vast quantities of ammunition and missiles. Additionally, around 200 military personnel were stationed there permanently, raising concerns that the casualty count could be significant.

In a video, the recently arrested Deputy Defense Minister, Dmitry Bulgakov, is seen praising the arsenal’s modern design and capabilities - “security according to world standards”.

However, when these facilities were constructed, it seems clear that the corrupt officials and thieves did not design it with a conflict of this scale in mind.”

“Russian Deputy Defense Minister Dmitry Bulgakov announced in 2018 that the “modern arsenal for the secure storage of missiles, ammunition, and explosives” in Toropets, Tver region, featured “advanced concrete storage designed to withstand missile strikes and nuclear explosions.”

But it was somehow taken out by one small silly drone.”

Falling debris

“Tver Governor Igor Rudenya claimed that air defense systems shot down drones, causing a fire from falling debris, despite the ongoing sounds of ammunition detonations in Toropets. Russia’s Ministry of Defense did not report any drone interceptions in the Tver region in its morning update.”

“Pre-war satellite images of the Russian ammunition depot in Toropets show that massive amount of ammunition was stored in the open air all over the territory of depot.

Nowadays, Russians store ammunition in a similar manner on other locations much closer to the front, such as in the Voronezh region, so it would not be surprising if Russians continued to store ammunition in the open air in depots about 500 km from the front.

Perhaps such careless handling of ammunition was the reason for such severe detonation as a result of the strikes.”

“Many have yet to grasp the scale of this. If the fire engulfs most of the territory, it could deal a serious blow to Russia’s ammunition supply. Large quantities of propellant charges for mortars were also stored there in the past.”

“Mojtaba Amani, the Iranian ambassador to Lebanon, lost one eye and his other was seriously wounded when a pager he was carrying exploded yesterday, The New York Times reports.

Members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps tell the outlet that Amani’s injuries are more serious than initially reported, and he would be taken to Tehran for treatment.

Video on social media apparently showed Amani on a Lebanese street in the aftermath of the attack, with blood on the front of his shirt, the newspaper says.”

There are serious problems in the Tver region after a raid by enemy drones

Last night, Ukrainian drones attacked an ammunition depot near the city of Toropets, Tver Region. It is noteworthy that the reflection of this attack was not noted in the Ministry of Defense report.

And this is in a situation where local authorities are already evacuating the population. The column of smoke and fire could be seen for kilometers.

According to sources, the warehouses were attacked by at least 8 drones. The air defense forces managed to shoot down only 3; the rest flew through stored ammunition, which led to a fire and further detonation.

The Ministry of Defense is in no hurry to talk about this incident. Which is understandable. Our interlocutors note that the 107th GRAU arsenal stored many missiles for MLRS, mines for mortars and some other types of ammunition. Why at least part of the large arsenal lay in the open air is an open question. New concrete storage facilities were recently built at this arsenal. It didn’t help.

The situation with arsenals is a long-standing problem of our army, which we have spoken about several times. Alas, no one was punished for previous arrivals. Accordingly, no serious measures were taken to ensure the correct and safe storage of ammunition.

Authorities are working to eliminate the consequences of the fire. As of morning, the detonation continued. Three servicemen are now considered missing. According to unverified information, the warehouse could contain long-range missiles. While this information is not 100% confirmed.

The nightmare in the Tver region continues. Lost Daggers

The fire in warehouses near the town of Toropets, Tver Region, continues. Let us remind you that the 107th GRAU arsenal was attacked by drones at night. More and more information is coming from our sources. Now the evacuation of the population is underway, there is a threat of fire spreading and large scattering of shell fragments.

According to updated data, the warehouse contained missiles for MLRS and S-300, mines for mortars, a small part of 152-mm artillery shells, and about a dozen units of Kinzhal hypersonic missiles.

Interlocutors suggest that it was the detonation of the Daggers, together with other missiles, that led to a small earthquake. Why the Daggers were brought to this arsenal and stored along with other shells is not a question for us. The interlocutors note that the last Daggers were delivered no more than a week ago. It is possible that information could have been passed on to the enemy by a mole from among the military or local residents. An inspection of the Ministry of Defense went to the Tver region.

We will have only two conclusions from this story. Probably, they should not even be imprisoned, but shot. In the spirit of the Great Patriotic War - according to the laws of war.

We deliberately disclose this data so that those responsible for improper storage of shells and missiles will be punished. And yes, it’s time to stop lying about “falling debris.” How much longer will the authorities say that “all the drones were shot down” and at the same time carry out evacuations due to explosions in warehouses? It’s time to end this.
