“How a group of volunteers from a reconnaissance battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed an officer sabotage group of the elite Special Forces of the Russian Armed Forces

On July 28, near the village of Mkhy, Semenivka district, Chernihiv region, a reconnaissance group from one of the reconnaissance battalions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, during search operations in the forest, found and attacked a Russian subversive group.

The Russians had high-quality equipment, were dressed in camouflage suits, each had assault rifles with optical and thermal sights and silencers, a large amount of ammunition, and were ready to fight. A detail: one of the liquidated men managed to put a high-quality tourniquet on his leg after being wounded - this group had modern first aid kits, without Esmarch tourniquets, which the Russians issue on a regular basis to their regular “disposable” infantry.

Finding a sabotage group in a dense forest in the absence of a shielded front line is like finding a needle in a haystack, and destroying a group in such conditions means showing extraordinary abilities.

The group-to-group battle took place at a short distance, in a shielded forest, and help could not reach our fighters quickly. The high level of fire training, correct tactics, and most importantly, the character of the Ukrainian soldiers, who resolutely went forward and acted as a team, made all the difference.

During the battle, Russian troops tried to provide fire support to the saboteurs. The Senezha group was supported by several drones and an artillery battery operating from the Bryansk region.

However, the units of the Sever command retaliated with several precise strikes on positions in the territory of the Russian Federation, the enemy suffered losses and Russian artillery was suppressed, one gun was damaged.

In the course of the battle, 5 Russian saboteurs were killed on the spot, and another wounded Russian tried to escape, but did not get far and bled to death.

According to Russian sources, the destroyed group consisted of only officers, two of them with the rank of major, two with the rank of captain, and one with the rank of senior lieutenant. The rank and name of the sixth officer is being clarified.
“Senezh” is the elite of the elites of the Russian army, the best of the best, after a careful selection.

The Russians were destroyed by a Ukrainian reconnaissance group consisting of volunteer soldiers who mobilized in 2022 and underwent high-quality training.

This is not the first battle of our reconnaissance group with Russian saboteurs.
