Just add money - Ukrainian drone capacity surging.
Kyiv Independent: Ukraine able to produce over 3 million drones a year, ministry says
“Ukraine has the production capacity to produce more than 3 million drones a year, but requires financing from foreign partners, Deputy Strategic Industries Minister Hanna Hvozdiar said on July 30...
…”We have large enough production capacity, we can produce more than 3 million drones of various types today,” Hvozdiar said at a government-organized hackathon, as quoted by Suspilne.
Ukraine needs financing for the production of drones, as the state can only cover part of the budget. Funding from foreign partners, such as Canada, will help to cover the rest of the financing, Hvozdiar said.
According to Hvozdiar, Kyiv is also in talks with the U.K. to help purchase domestically-produced drones for the Ukrainian military.
In April, Denmark became the first country among Ukraine’s partners to buy weapons and equipment for Ukraine’s Armed Forces from a domestic manufacturer as part of a military aid package.
The same month, Canada announced it would donate $2.2 million to Ukraine’s drone production in collaboration with the U.K.
According to Strategic Industries Minister Alexander Kamyshin, foreign investment is needed because Ukraine’s defense industry has a capacity worth around $20 billion, but the state only has up to $10 billion to purchase weapons and equipment.
In June, the state-owned company Ukrainian Defense Industry, also known as Ukroboronprom, said it had launched the serial production of strike drones with a range of over 1,000 kilometers (620 miles).
The head of Ukrainian Defense Industry, Herman Smetanin, said that with the help of “private individuals,” the company was now able to “scale production” of long-range drones”
I don’t know if all the signers were Protestant, or how many might have been Catholic, but memories were probably still strong of the struggles of Queen “Bloody” Mary and Queen Elizabeth after their father Henry the 8th died. I know there was trouble in the original Mass Colony which caused a departure for some to found Rhode Island.
Thanks glee.
I am quite sure they are very sad as the next stop will be the western front.

But hey the CIS is stronk
That’s how they are made, now this is how they are used,

[ Ukrainians Send a Swarm of Drones Through a Pipe & Decimate The Russian Hideout ]

Today [ Aug 1 ], there are a lot of updates from the Kharkiv direction.
In the Lyptsi region, the most interesting news revolves around the ongoing fierce battles. Ukrainian forces are tactically aiming to weaken Russian troops by severing their supply and reinforcement lines.
Meanwhile, Russian forces have attempted to counter this tactic with an offensive towards Lyptsi, but their efforts have resulted in a significant setback.
A significant development has emerged concerning the tactical operations of the Ukrainian drone operators from the esteemed Madyar’s Birds detachment. Founded by Robert Brovdi, also known as “Madyar,” this unit is regarded as one of the best drone operating forces in the Ukrainian military.
Recently integrated into the Ukrainian Marine Corps as the 414th Marine Strike UAV Battalion, Madyar’s Birds have been deployed to the Lyptsi front in response to the Russian offensive in Kharkiv that commenced in May.
A few days ago, a Russian soldier shared a detailed account on social media of how his unit was relentlessly hunted by Madyar’s drones. His description provides valuable insights into the extraordinary intensity of Ukrainian drone operations, highlighting the relentless precision and effectiveness of these tactics.
Firstly, the account begins with the soldier describing how his unit was detected and attacked by a massive swarm of drones immediately after crossing the border. This demonstrates the Ukrainians’ tight control over the region.
The Russian soldier claimed that the overwhelming number of drones allowed Ukrainian forces to target even wounded Russian soldiers, using up to three drones per target. This level of drone deployment seemed inconceivable to them, given the supposed scarcity of Ukrainian drones they had been informed about.
Secondly, the Russian soldier’s account highlights advanced Ukrainian tactics involving drone swarms directed by reconnaissance drones operating within a 20km radius. This indicates a high level of coordination and synchronization among multiple drone operators, showcasing the sophisticated approach employed by Ukrainian forces.
Lastly, the Russian soldier repeatedly emphasized the apparent resilience of Ukrainian drones against Russian electronic countermeasures. Remarkably, Madyar’s drones maintained their connection even under extreme conditions. The soldier recounted how the drones continued to pursue them inside an underground pipe where Russian troops desperately sought shelter.
Considering that the drones operated effectively underground and at least 15 km from their headquarters, the soldier speculated that Ukrainian drones might be utilizing advanced signal repeater technology alongside reconnaissance support.
The harrowing account concludes with the soldier describing how, after hours of attempting to escape through dense forests, trenches, and pipes, the majority of his comrades were annihilated by Ukrainian drones and supporting artillery fire.
In response to the devastating impact of elite Ukrainian drone units across various front-line positions, the Russian army is urgently seeking effective countermeasures. They are allocating substantial resources to the development and deployment of advanced electronic warfare systems, resulting in a technological arms race.
Despite frequent announcements of new advancements, the reality on the ground suggests that Ukrainian forces remain a step ahead, largely mitigating the effects of Russian electronic countermeasures, for the time being.
Additionally, Russian forces are reportedly developing and formalizing a military motorcycle specialty. This initiative responds to increased Ukrainian drone strikes and aerial reconnaissance and addresses the growing shortage of Soviet-era equipment. The aim is to leverage small, fast vehicles for frontline logistics and infantry transport.
For instance, a Russian military analyst recently disclosed that the Russian 5th Motorized Rifle Brigade is establishing its own military motorcycle school, with other brigades evaluating the initiative at a high level.
Some analysts speculate that Russia’s new motorcycle tactics could enhance the Kremlin’s war effort by making individual soldiers faster and less detectable from the air.
On the battlefield, motorcycle riders benefit from improved visibility and agility allowing them to maneuver around mines that armored vehicle operators might miss. They can also follow tracks left by armored vehicles from earlier assaults, ensuring these roads are mine free.
However, these Riders remain vulnerable to machine gun fire and anti-personnel mines which are smaller and harder to spot, especially when approaching Ukrainian trenches.
Overall, Madyar’s elite drone unit has not only inflicted overwhelming casualties and thwarted Russian attacks, but has also achieved precise tactical objectives. By targeting supply and reinforcement lines they have left Russian troops at the front lines completely exposed, under equipped, and under staffed.
The decimation of Russian forces has been so severe that the Ukrainian command recently decided to relocate Madyar’s unit away from the Kharkiv front, as the damage to Russian forces here is deemed irreversible; the unit is now being redirected to areas with a target richer environment.
In a desperate attempt to counter Ukrainian drones Russian forces have increased the use of motorcycles for infantry advances.
However, this tactic which sacrifices armor and firepower for mobility, often results in higher losses. Despite these efforts, the situation remains unchanged allowing Ukrainian forces to conduct a decisive offensive.
Russian forces are now largely incapable of mounting their own offensive, with many Russian military analysts urging a switch to full defensive mode, and effectively abandoning the Kharkiv offensive.

The day before yesterday, July 29, one of the leading aviation bloggers Fighterbomber [ https://t.me/fighter_bomber ] with five hundred eleven thousand subscribers posted a post about the motorized rifle regiment of the Aerospace Forces:
“Motorized Rifle Regiment of the Aerospace Forces.
MSP Supreme Court.
People recruited from airfields.
There are engineering and technical staff, flight crews, and flight crews present.
Armed forces, radio operators, mechanics, engine and brake engineers. Sergeants, warrant officers and officers. It seems there is even one navigator.
They fight normally. As everybody. Everything is provided. No complaints. Everything is fine.
This is approximately the same as the motorized rifle regiment of the Alexandrov Choir.
Well, or there DShB CSKA.
There must be some message or conclusion here.
But he is not there.
Today this is a given.”
This post has not yet been deleted and is present on the Fighterbomber Telegram channel at:

Is that really true? If this really takes place, then what were the commanders thinking about when creating this motorized rifle regiment, sending the flight, flight-lifting and engineering personnel into battle as ordinary infantrymen? After all, this is the same as hammering nails with a microscope.
Do they know how much it costs to train one pilot or navigator? Yes, even one aviation engineer. In the 80s, the training of one pilot or navigator in Western currency cost more than ONE MILLION DOLLARS. Was it really possible that a pilot or navigator with military ranks from lieutenant to colonel were handed Kalashnikov assault rifles and sent to storm some village that couldn’t be found on the map?
Something similar happened during the Second World War in Nazi Germany, when airfield divisions were created in the Luftwaffe. And even then they performed mainly security functions in the rear of the Wehrmacht. And only on the eve of the collapse of Germany in the winter and spring of 1945, they were sent to the front, including pilots and navigators.
Why create a motorized rifle regiment in the VKS now? This question was partially answered by Fighterbomber himself with the phrase “Today this is a given.”
It seems that due to the large losses of our group in the Northern Military District zone and the lack of volunteers going to serve in the army under contract, a decision was made to replenish the ranks of the group with manpower by any means. This is evidenced, in particular, by the sharp increase in payment for entering contract service to one and a half to two million rubles.
And the Kremlin is afraid to undertake a new mobilization, fearing a sharp negative reaction to this from Russian society. But apparently it becomes more and more inevitable every day.
As for the large losses of our group, so that I will not be held accountable for fakes regarding the army, I am forced to refer to our President and Supreme Commander-in-Chief V. Putin.
At a meeting with the heads of world news agencies at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on June 5, 2024, he said [ http://www.kremlin.ru/events/president/news/74223 ].
“According to our calculations, the Ukrainian army loses approximately 50,000 people per month - these are both sanitary and irretrievable losses, both. Although their irretrievable and sanitary losses are approximately 50/50.”
He immediately stated that the Russian group in the Northern Military District zone loses five times less monthly than the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Those. in fact, he admitted that we are losing approximately 10 thousand people a month - 5 thousand sanitary losses and 5 thousand irreversible.
That is, if you believe the President of the Russian Federation, in a year of hostilities we lose only 60,000 people killed, and in two and a half years of military operations, based on the figures announced by the President, we lost only ONE HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND PEOPLE killed.

Advancement near Toretsk creates a tactical advantage for the Russian Armed Forces, but there are “buts”.
After taking control of Avdeevka, our units are systematically moving towards the DPR borders, liberating village after village. Now there are already battles for the city of Toretsk. Next in line is the large city of Pokrovsk, but first the task is to completely cut off the Pokrovsk-Konstantirovka highway, along which a large group of Ukrainian Armed Forces is supplied in the area of Konstantinovka and Chasov Yar.
In general, since the beginning of the year there has been progress of 27-29 km, which is certainly not bad. The Russian Armed Forces have the initiative on the battlefield and achieve success. However, the enemy’s tactics cause both surprise and even some fear.
Local commanders report that the Ukrainian Armed Forces do not bring reserves into battle until the last minute and, in general, could transfer much more personnel to the front. Intelligence interlocutors are convinced that the Ukrainians are secretly preparing reserves for future operations . We are talking not only about training new brigades in the rear, but also abroad. The interlocutors did not specify which direction of the strike they might be talking about.
However, some sources in the Ministry of Defense are convinced that the enemy is not capable of counterattacking. They say that the Russian Armed Forces need to liberate as many territories as possible before future negotiations, which are possible as early as the fall of this year.
What’s interesting is that our interlocutors are in no hurry to talk about one point. This is a question of losses of the Russian army during this advance.
Previously, there was an attempt to attack Kharkov and capture Volchansk, which brought very modest results. Now the offensive on Toretsk and Pokrovsk continues, but **the losses there are quite serious**, the military themselves are reluctant to admit. They do not disclose specific numbers.

Important moments in the history of the transfer of F-16 to Ukraine
Objectively, F-16 fighters could appear in the Ukrainian skies long before August 2024. This is speaking in the language of facts. It is also important that this is more of a political move than real military support. It indicates that the West will continue to invest in Ukraine.
Now our reconnaissance will be tasked with finding and destroying the received aircraft. Will the F-16 change the balance of power on the battlefield? Hardly. Although in some places it will become more difficult. Much depends on what will be inside these “birds”.
Our pilots, of course, are serious. At the same time, the command of the Aerospace Forces understands that, probably, the strategy for the active use of KABs and FABs may change in the next few months.
It is also worth noting that Ukraine at this moment is taking, albeit a small, technological step forward, and is gaining access to Western technologies.
In general, we don’t think that this will radically change the situation on the battlefield, but there will be changes in places.
It is important for us to protect our aircraft from destruction by enemy drones and missiles [ https://t.me/kremlin_secrets/4429 ]. To do this, you need to build additional protection at your base.

“Bomb Smuggled Into Tehran Guesthouse Months Ago Killed Hamas Leader”
“An explosive device hidden in a heavily guarded complex where Ismail Haniyeh was known to stay in Iran was what killed him, according to a Times investigation.”
“Ismail Haniyeh, a top leader of Hamas, was assassinated on Wednesday by an explosive device covertly smuggled into the Tehran guesthouse where he was staying, according to seven Middle Eastern officials, including two Iranians, and an American official.
The bomb had been hidden approximately two months ago in the guesthouse, according to five of the Middle Eastern officials. The guesthouse is run and protected by the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps and is part of a large compound, known as Neshat, in an upscale neighborhood of northern Tehran.
Mr. Haniyeh was in Iran’s capital for the presidential inauguration. The bomb was detonated remotely, the five officials said, once it was confirmed that he was inside his room at the guesthouse. The blast also killed a bodyguard.”
“Is Zelensky sending WWII veterans to the frontline now?”
No, just another elderly civilian, sheltering from Russia’s reprehensible war crimes against innocent civilians. Putin has made Russians into pariahs around the world, with the unvarnished evil of his tactics.
Russians are now known as orcs, because of Putin.
Another satisfying morning.
“FIVE 🇷🇺Russian special forces officers of the “Senezh” Special Forces Centre as part of a subversive group were killed in full squad in Chernihiv region.
They had high-quality equipment, were dressed in camouflage uniforms, each had rifles with optical sights and silencers, a large amount of ammunition.”
