“that has always been part of the plan. Allow Russia to put oil on the market for world supply, but at a price point where Russia is barely making any profit or in some cases losing money on each barrel.”
That was long the plan, to pressure Russia to stop its attack, and then bring them back into the fold shortly after, still a major energy exporter on which the market depended, with ample revenue to rearm and attack again.
Then President Trump was re-elected. Now the plan is that Russia knock it off, or get replaced on the world energy market, and left in poverty.
Russia has been dragged down, weakened, disgraced and impoverished; because of Putin.
Already.
Ask not for whom the bell tolls it tolls for Russia.
Because of Putin.
OilPrice.com (28 Oct):
“The EU will ban, effective January 21, imports of products made from Russian crude oil, per the July sanctions package against Russia.
In this package, the EU finally moved to close the Russian oil loophole, which currently allows EU imports of fuels processed from Russian oil, including in India, a key buyer of Russian crude until now.”
It’s happening.
OilPrice.com (28 Oct):
“Indian refiners have suspended new orders for Russian crude, Reuters has reported…
…Reliance Industries, one of Rosneft’s biggest clients in India, has turned to the spot market for crude oil deliveries, while Indian Oil has launched a tender for oil cargos.
“We have not placed orders yet for fresh cargoes and have cancelled some that were booked from traders with links to the sanctioned entities,” one of the Reuters sources said.
“We need to ensure that our purchases are not linked to sanctioned entities as banks will not facilitate payments,” another told the publication.
The developments follow President Trump’s latest round of sanctions against Russian energy majors, targeting Rosneft and Lukoil, which together account for about 50% of Russia’s total oil exports, which, in turn, average some 4 million barrels daily…
…With the latest sanctions, however, Indian oil buyers are looking for alternatives, despite several statements from senior Indian officials, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, that energy security rather than geopolitics continues to be the guiding principle of foreign commodity buying.
Even before the latest sanctions came into effect, Indian refiners had started diversifying their sources of crude, in anticipation of possible escalation from the Trump administration. Still, completely replacing Russian barrels with other supply will likely be challenging financially (for India).” (Although less costly than the 2022 experience, because now the market is supplied with available replacement crude oil - President Trump took care of business)
“Next Tuesday.”
Indian and Chinese Refiners cancelling orders for Russian oil, going elsewhere to buy.
Today.
Oil prices dropping fairly strongly.
Today.
Russia screwed.
Last Wednesday. (Bone-Crushing Sanctions imposed)
Putin brought this Doom upon Russia.
More to come - every day.
President Trump never rests. CentralAsian Summit at the White House, November 6th.
OilPrice.com (28 Oct):
“Central Asian leaders are scrambling to prepare for a snap summit with President Trump in Washington. While critical minerals will undoubtedly dominate discussions, Central Asian officials will also be seeking US help in addressing an array of other pressing issues, including technology transfers, expanded cultural and educational exchanges, and water-resource management, according to a source familiar with the preparations.
The Washington summit, organized under the C5+1 framework, is scheduled for November 6, according to a statement released by Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s press office.”
Some nice news for a change. Remember that lovely young Ukranian woman murder by an uninstitutionalized American nut case on an American subway? A pretty new species of butterfly has been found in S, Carolina and named after her. It’s called: “Iryna’s Azure,” derived from the “Greek Goddess of peace” “This will outlast most other tributes because it’s a living organism. Her name will be immortalized as a butterfly.” said Harry Pavulaan. “We’ll never forget Iryna.” This scientist who named the butterfly said he found Iryna’s story heartbreaking and was inspired to name the species after her so that she would never be forgotten.
This story has an FR thread where we can see her lovely face and the delicate blue butterfly honoring her name. More info there, and a good place to add comments about this American tragedy.

Interesting take on the situation in Russia
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Bv37CR4t_vs
It's BOBO stupid
Moscow Stock exchange index (MOEX) down 10% in the last week.
Crisis.
Russia’s oil revenues cratering.
Crisis.
That was the last leg they had to stand on.
The Ministry of Defense wants to start mobilizing reservists as soon as possible.
Our source in the ministry hopes that the mobilization of reservists (as the military unofficially calls the involvement of reservists in the protection of facilities deep in the territory of Russia), their training and sending to protect refineries and other critical infrastructure will begin as soon as possible. “The situation with refineries is very difficult. It is also necessary to protect the energy sector and a number of other important facilities. In connection with the threats, including for Moscow, the configuration of air defense will change somewhat. And we really need additional protection,” the channel's interlocutor said.
He expects that the legislative decisions necessary for the mobilization of reservists will be made as soon as possible. After that, training sessions will be held, people will be taught to shoot down enemy drones and missiles, protect themselves from them, in particular, from falling debris, and will be sent to protect refineries, energy, and military enterprises.
“There are not enough people, we need to speed up the processes related to reservists. We still need time to prepare so that the recruits learn something and do not die at the refinery, but effectively shoot down drones,” another source in the Ministry of Defense said on this matter.

1917, here we are again:

In Russia, they want to ban New Year's corporate parties and holidays at all resorts
Such a proposal was submitted to the Kremlin by philosopher Alexandr Dugin. “Next year, the war will be more serious than it is now. It will be total. There will be no time for rest, holidays and entertainment. Therefore, I passed on to the Kremlin a proposal to ban such a vile phenomenon as New Year's corporate parties. It is also necessary to ban holidays at resorts in the near future - so that the ban applies to the next year. Rest in the mountains, at the sea, any. This is especially true for the resorts of the Krasnodar Territory, the Caucasus and the Crimea, which will burn, you will have to constantly protect them from enemy strikes. It is also necessary to strictly prohibit holidays abroad. First of all, to irresponsible citizens who boast about how they spend money somewhere in the Maldives or in Turkey,” Alexandr Gelevich told us.
“If you have money for a vacation, give it to the defense of the state. Or buy yourself some equipment in advance, pay for training for military service, it can be found now. Next year, many will not avoid such service,” the philosopher added.
It should be noted that Dugin advocated a ban on recreation, including at sea, back in the summer. And he predicted strikes on Sochi and other resorts. The authorities did not accept the proposal to ban vacations, but Alexandr Gelevich’s forecasts about the shelling of the same Sochi, unfortunately, were confirmed. Dugin believes that this time his calls will be heard by the authorities. And the Russians will end up thinking not about rest, but about “the most important thing in life - how to win the war.” The Kremlin does not give any comments on this matter.

Planning for the new version of 1917.
I just finished watching this 28.36 vidio on the breakdown of Russia. It starts by dealing with the economic situation and the destruction of the oil industry. Around 10 minutes it shows the ruin of road conditions, now they no longer salt the road ice. Internet reports of at least 30 major crashes are mentioned and several incredibly fiery accidents of huge trucks are viewed. Later there is a report of Putin’s efforts to answer Maduro in Venezuela and his pathetic cry for help against an American attack Trump has mentioned.
I had not been aware of how heavily involved with Russia Maduro had become. Maduro let Putin make a huge shipment of their gold to Russia for “safety.” Maduro has received tons of military equipment from Putin. There is just now a big Russian cargo plane traveling to or already arrived there. Apparently it has Wagner mercenaries and/or more weapons to help against an attack. I wonder if Russia is actually planning to bring back some of what it gave Maduro. Given how bad things are in Russia, Putin might decide he gave too much and too hard to replace items. Or, perhaps he wants to get some critical oil well parts to help restore frozen Russian oil assets? At any rate, things look bad for both of them as Trump gives both a hard time.
It was stated V has the largest oil reserves in the world. BB is this true? Also, I seem to recall it is quite sour (high Sulfur content), is this also true? How hard is it to process for various types of oil products?
“It was stated V has the largest oil reserves in the world. BB is this true? Also, I seem to recall it is quite sour (high Sulfur content)”
Yes, Venezuela has the world’s largest proven oil reserves, but it is mostly very heavy and sour, especially good for producing things like asphalt (bitumen) and roofing tiles. The yield of lighter fractions like gasoline or diesel is relatively low. If you look at the gasoline yield, Saudi Arabia’s reserves are probably bigger.
“There are not enough people, we need to speed up the processes”
Russians...
1,000 casualties a day is just not enough for some people.
Alexandr Dugin: “Next year... There will be no time for rest, holidays and entertainment.”
Hitting the accelerator, as they head over the cliff...
“Oil is fungible, dimwit.”
What happened to recent Party Line that it was not? That Urals grade was REQUIRED?
You Russian propagandists are so transparently devoid of any real substance.
The people who come here to propagandize about mighty Muscovy need to look at the 28 minute video at comment #21,228. One thing I did not mention in the video report I gave after looking at the link there is telling. A small truck which made me think of the hobbled together “technicals” shown in warlord Somolia was reported to be guarding the Kremlin. If that is true, why is Putin sending tanks to Ukraine. I noticed six killed today on the daily war cost list.
Pastor Adrian Rogers spoke of the three steps of human destruction as being:
1. Willful Self-determination
2. Wicked Self-deception
3. Woeful Self-destruction
The Vladster’s taking all three steps with his Ukrainian conquest misadventure and it’s looking more and more like he will be taking Russia down along with him.
Boom.
