Russia has announced the first stage of the mobilization of reservists. There are three important points

The General Staff made several important statements about reservists and their participation in the military confrontation with Ukraine. There are points that are worth paying attention to. Firstly, so far (as we wrote) there is no talk of a full-fledged mobilization of reservists to participate in the NWO. Some of them may sign a contract with the Ministry of Defense, but there will definitely be no mass dispatch of reservists to the front in the next month or three.

Secondly, there is a plan to arm reservists and send them to protect refineries, energy infrastructure and other facilities. “We will distribute weapons to them, mainly, I think, machine guns, we will prepare and send them to shoot down drones that fly to refineries and other important facilities. We will send the most capable and patriotic reservists to serve in the air defense on the air defense system. But very serious preparation is needed here so that the missiles fired by them fly at enemy missiles and drones, and not at houses and infrastructure. Plus, people need to be trained so that they themselves are not killed by drones and debris. The problems are not the easiest, but we will solve them,” said our source in the Ministry of Defense.

Thirdly, according to another representative of the ministry, what is happening can be considered the mobilization of reservists, “but no more than its first stage.” “The war is now going on not only at the front, we are suffering serious losses in the conditional rear. Therefore, it is necessary to raise people to defend refineries, energy, and military enterprises. I believe that this process can be called mobilization. Not all colleagues agree with me (in particular, the General Staff notes that the process should not be called mobilization - ed.), but I am sure it should be called that. So that everything is fair. And so that everyone who is called up to the army to protect the Russian infrastructure is proud,” the channel's interlocutor explained.

He does not rule out that “the best defenders of refineries and energy will strengthen the front, but this issue will be discussed a little later.” When the first stage of the mobilization of reservists will begin, the military does not know for sure - the adoption of an appropriate law is necessary. The Ministry of Defense hopes that everything will happen as quickly as possible.

Groups of armed PTSD soldiers are to be spread across Russia, and the best shooters are sent to the front with a life expectancy of a few days. What could go wrong?

“the best shooters are sent to the front with a life expectancy of a few days.”

More likely, those who refuse to kick back their salaries to their Commanders, will be the ones sent to the front.

Another indicator of Fuhrer Putin’s success in Militarizing Ukraine.

He is a Master Strategist.

BTW, What Rosneft doink? (burning, and draining money from Russia’s budget - because of Putin)

Kyiv Independent (22 Oct):

“Sweden and Ukraine on Oct. 22 signed a letter of intent for a future contract on the purchase of up to 150 modern Gripen E fighter jets to bolster the Ukrainian Air Force...

...The Saab JAS 39 Gripen is a light 4.5-generation fighter jet that can be used for both defensive and offensive tasks. Kyiv and Stockholm have repeatedly discussed the possibility of supplying the aircraft to Ukraine’s Air Force, which already operates Western planes, including the Mirage 2000 and F-16.

The Gripen E version, which the Swedish Air Force started using just in October, boasts a more powerful engine, avionics, and radar. Ukraine hopes to make the plane the future backbone of its Air Force.

Zelensky said that Ukraine aims to purchase at least 100 Gripen fighter jets under the forthcoming contract. The Ukrainian side must do everything to ensure it can start using Gripens as early as next year, he added.

“We understand who we are fighting against, and Gripen is one of the best (fighters) in the world,” Zelensky said, adding that Ukrainian pilots have already begun training on the Swedish planes.”

Yup this will end well for Russia😎

The size of Russia is a blessing and a curse.

They often talk about the size of Russian military, but Russia has a massive area to protect, and a bunch of reservists on potato water with machine guns sounds like a great idea/s

Thanks Pete.

Now go back to being a talking head on TV.

“U.S. Lifts Key Restriction on Ukraine’s Use of Western Long-Range Missiles”

“The Trump administration has lifted a key restriction on Ukraine’s use of some long-range missiles provided by Western allies, enabling Kyiv to step up attacks on targets inside Russia and increase pressure on the Kremlin, U.S. officials said Wednesday.

Ukraine used a British-supplied Storm Shadow cruise missile on Tuesday to strike a Russian plant in Bryansk that produced explosives and rocket fuel, the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces announced on social media. It called the strike a “successful hit” that penetrated Russian air defenses.

The unannounced U.S. move to enable Kyiv to use the missile in Russia comes after authority for supporting such attacks was recently transferred from Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth at the Pentagon to the top U.S. general in Europe, Gen. Alexus Grynkewich, who also serves as NATO commander.”

...

“Under the mechanism, the defense secretary had final say over whether Ukraine could employ Western long-range weapons to strike Russia. No attacks were approved until recently when authority for approving such attacks was returned to European Command, two U.S. officials said.”

More pressure on India and China to cut back their Russian oil purchases, before Ukraine’s kinetic sanctions kick in in earnest.

OilPrice.com (22 Oct):

“The European Union’s latest package of sanctions against Russia will list four companies, including a Chinese trading firm and two independent Chinese oil refineries, involved in oil trade that have continued to circumvent Western restrictions...

...The EU’s 19th sanctions package is expected to be the most economically significant...

...India and the United States are reportedly nearing a trade deal that would lower U.S. tariffs on Indian exports to around 15-16 percent in exchange for a gradual reduction in Russian oil imports, reported by Reuters.

What Rosneft doink?!

President Trump levies the first direct new sanctions of his current Administration on Russia - Rosneft and Lukoil!

Putin is bringing the Doom upon Russia.

Kyiv Independent (23 Oct):

US imposes sanctions on Russia’s oil giants Rosneft and Lukoil; Trump cancels meeting with Putin

“The U.S. has imposed sanctions on Russia’s two largest oil companies, Rosneft and Lukoil, in an effort to pressure Moscow into agreeing to a ceasefire, the U.S. Treasury announced on Oct. 22.

The measures are the first sanctions U.S. President Donald Trump has imposed against Moscow as the White House works to broker an end to Russia’s war against Ukraine.

“Now is the time to stop the killing and for an immediate ceasefire,” Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said. “Given President Putin’s refusal to end this senseless war, Treasury is sanctioning Russia’s two largest oil companies that fund the Kremlin’s war machine.”

Trump met NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte in the White House as the additional measures were announced.

Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin were previously set to meet in Budapest at an unspecified date, but the White House later announced the summit was no longer needed.

“It didn’t feel like we were going to get to the place we have to get — so I canceled it, but we’ll do it in the future,” Trump said.”

Another night, another Russian oil refinery hit (Makhachkala, Dagestan), as well as another Ammo plant (Kopeysk, Chelyabinsk Oblast), and a big wave of Ukrainian drones setting off air raid sirens in at least 15 regions of Russia.

Kyiv Independent (22 Oct):

“In Kopeysk, explosions were reported near the “Plastmass” factory with emergency services responding to the incident, independent outlet Astra reported.

The plant produces ammunition for Russia’s military and is subject to sanctions imposed by Ukraine’s allies, according to open-source data.

Chelyabinsk Oblast Governor Alexei Teksler confirmed an explosion occurred at an enterprise, resulting in an unspecified number of casualties.

Kopeysk is located just over 1,700 kilometers (1,056 miles) from Ukraine’s northeastern border with Russia...

...Overnight on Oct. 22, Ukrainian drones struck an oil refinery in Makhachkala, Dagestan, a source in Ukraine’s military intelligence has told the Kyiv Independent.

Ukrainian drones launched a “massive air attack” on Russia’s Bryansk and Rostov oblasts overnight on Oct. 21, local authorities claimed.

Sea Baby naval drones now armed with machine guns or Grad rockets.

Kyiv Independent (22 Oct):

SBU reveals next-gen Sea Baby naval drones, confirms use in June Crimea Bridge attack

"The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has revealed on Oct. 22 the next generation of its Sea Baby naval drones, and confirmed they were used in an attack on the Crimea Bridge earlier this year.

The SBU showed two versions of the drone in a video (https://kyivindependent.com/sbu-releases-new-baby-sea-drones-confirms-it-was-used-in-an-attack-on-sea-bridge/ ) — the first, equipped with a stabilized machine gun turret featuring an automatic aiming system, and the second, carrying a 10-round Grad multiple launch rocket system.

The upgraded drones can cover distances of over 1,500 kilometers (930 miles), carry up to 2,000 kilograms (4,409 pounds) of cargo, and feature reinforced engines with a modern navigation system, according to the SBU...

...Since unveiling the world's first dedicated naval drone fleet in September 2022, Ukraine has advanced the use of unmanned maritime systems, successfully sinking nearly a dozen Russian vessels.

But Russia is adapting — after a string of devastating Ukrainian strikes that crippled much of its Black Sea Fleet, Russia is now turning to naval drones in a bid to rebuild its presence and adapt to a new phase of maritime warfare.

In May, the Russian Navy began forming specialized regiments to integrate unmanned boats and underwater vehicles across its fleets, according to the Russian state newspaper Izvestia, marking a clear push to modernize its naval capabilities."
