First they burn, but in Winter, then they freeze - which is much worse for the whole oil infrastructure.

Physics looms over the head of Russia's economic lifeline, like Damocles sword (or perhaps, a Tomahawk).

“Russia Launches Massive Strike on Ukrainian Gas Sites”

Europe will pay to replace Ukraine’s gas supply this Winter. $2 Billion already allocated, after the strikes last week.

No one will give Russia a dime. Because Russia is clearly the aggressor, and has committed atrocious war crimes, that have revolted all the good people of the world. That’s what happens when you allow the mafia control over your country and its Military.

Gonna be a cold winter in Russia.

The usuals like insults and memes, meanwhile the gas station with a country is running out of gas, food, and money

Saying it isn’t so doesn’t make it so, general winter is coming and the Russian people are in for a massive wake up call.

Their Dear Leader is powerless to stop it, and China is watching😎

Interesting picture, once the fire is out, exactly how do you thaw the ice when the temps are freezing🤔🔥

Perhaps they just wait for more Ukrainian “falling debris “😂

This is a nicely detailed look at current world oil production and prospects. It looks like a lot of people have gone “drill, baby, drill” at the same time. I wonder if our leader remembers the day the oil companies were giving oil away because there was no place to put it as all the storage at sites like Cushing, and the boats at sea were full. And then our producers using fracking at higher cost locations like N. Dakota stopped pumping and drilling. If I remember correctly it has taken years for market prices to lure such producers back into drilling and pumping. Given the current world situation does it make sense for us to be stopping and discouraging solar and wind production of energy in our country?

If industrial production returns to the US, how much oil and energy will be needed to create the products that require petroleum as the basic raw material? How much extra electricity will be need for energy? Local communities are already fighting to keep huge cloud storage buildings from being built. These sites can provide needed tax payments, but they can also increase consumer electric bills. With returning industry, bitcoin production, and the like, it seems we will need every well managed energy source we can create. F the climate change argument, we need all good energy sources to fuel our leader’s MAGA dreams.

I’m sure some zeepers will be there, too, drooling all over themselves.
I wonder if he will meet up with his darling Kamalala.... 🤔
It must have been devastating for both of them when his campaigning for her failed miserably.

A Kremlin source says, “We are all fighting for Victory, and every adequate citizen of the country, I am sure, will gladly pay for this struggle to continue. And even if without pleasure, then with a clear understanding that this will be the right thing to do,” He also assured: the authorities abandoned plans to impose new taxes on rich Russians for a reason.

Now there’s a fantasy, happy taxpayers. They will need to rethink the idea that the average taxpayer wants the Kremlin to “abandon plans to impose new taxes on rich Russians.” They should look how our political system is reacting to the idea of lower taxes for rich taxpayers, and much higher prices for health care. Frankly, I am amazed at the fantasy world Russians live in. Their clerics were praising the value of religious tokens in preventing Ukrainian attacks on 3 oil refineries. On the other hand they failed to acknowledge that 3 other “protected” sites WERE attacked. Don’t they realize that Ukraine generally hits no more than 3 oil sites a night?

I wonder how former prisoners, who have survived combat, will react to what appears to be internal exile to January labor in Siberia? Certainly is a smart plan to keep trained killers, and criminals off the streets of Moscow, but will it work? How available are the arms of soldiers left in the killing fields of Ukraine? What might be the possibility of leadership and revolt among such designated ex soldiers? I wonder if there might be former Wagners among them? They might be especially bitter and motivated.

Hello granny glee.

You pinged marcus, but he doesn't discuss Ukraine anymore. Likewise BroJoeK, he left the Thread months ago. Widget is over at the NeverTrump forum and doesn't answer pings. PIF is now an infrequent poster and FtrPilot is missing. This place has become a dump thanks to adamsmith's BlueSky links and your nutty conspiracy theories. I'm here doing a mop up operation. I expect things to be over by the first of the year.

Yes, nuclear power too. How long does it take to permit and build a nuclear plant to production?
