One of Ukrainian sites with rich deposits in minerals is in the Shevchenko area, western Donetsk region. The field, which was discovered in 1982, is made up by 90% of lithium ore. The deposits also contain accompanying minerals such as tantalum ores, niobium ores, beryllium ores, quartz, feldspar and muscovite.
