I loved that old term, “hornswoggled,”.
“Mel Brooks made a movie called ‘Black Bart” that’ tells what happens in a Western town of the 1870’s when a black man suddenly becomes sheriff,. Not a ‘black’ movie but more of a juxtaposition of hypocrisy, greed, flat‐out fun and clichés that I’ve been watching since I was 3 years old,” says Brooks. “The white characters will keep saying, ‘I’ll be hornswoggled’ and ‘They went thataway,’ and the sheriff will answer ‘Right on, man!’”
Funny movie, maybe AMZ still has it;
There was a TV pilot based on Mel Brooks's movie Blazing Saddles called Black Bart, starring Louis Gossett Jr.. It came out in 1975 a year after Blazing Saddles. Here are the reviews on IMBD

One of the reviewer said, "TV Pilot can be found as an extra on the 30th Anniversary DVD Special Edition "Blazing Saddles". " The Amazon page shows a picture of the back cover showing it as a feature, also calling it a "Pilot for a proposed TV series".
