I believe the majority of truckers are not independent, and I don't expect the trucking companies will go along.

Trucking companies come in all sizes, some with just a hand full of trucks, some with a few hundred and big ones with thousands of truck. Some of the smaller companies may well go along with a boycott.

True, but any pull back by the independents will cause problems and price increases due to shortages.
