He didn’t “botch” it. He willfully and deliberately opened the borders to anyone — muslim or otherwise, Chinese or otherwise, criminal or otherwise. And then made sure they got solid benefits when they arrived so millions would be attracted to the open border.
Hence the “botched” in quotes.
