Back in 2017 the Denver city council voted 10-0 to declare Denver a sanctuary city. The vote actually had the force of law. No cooperation with immigration authorities, etc. Given such a lopsided vote, I’ve got to think that most residents were okay with it.
Denver’s fatal mistake was not including some sort of NIMBY(“not in my back yard”) provision in their law. Too bad for them.
America is.
We shall see. Bad habits such as block voting behaviors are stubborn and difficult to change but they do change.

I recall Reagan’s win over Carter in 1980. Right up to a day or three before the actual election, the news and pollsters were still saying Carter for the win, at least publicly. Carter was trounced instead by a public who answered Reagan’s question “are you better off now after 4 years of Carter, than you were before?” Their answer was NO and they voted the Dem out. Parallels to this November? I suspect the DNC knows Biden running will still lose beyond any fraud margin level they dare try, thus the talk of a last minute substitution. How they manage to push Kamal Harris out the door is the million dollar question since she would be the rightful “heir” to being the candidate for Joe announcing he is not running anymore. Can such a thing be successfully finessed that the public “buys into” it and votes for the sub?
It’s a good idea. But, they will extend the concept to any federal reservation: mil bases, national forests, BLM land, etc.
Would still be a good idea - force all the Biden Invaders into camps in those places - but wouldn’t pressurize DC the way we would want it to.
And BTW, if you haven’t been to DC lately, it already looks like that. Spanish seemed to be the dominant language around the Lincoln Memorial or at least it was back in July; the Walmart in Chantilly was like some Hollyweird Wet Dream of Diversity: a Third World rabble gobbling up all the Cheep China Crap as fast as they could.
