And yes...you aren’t the only one who suspects Massachusetts stirred up trouble with the British because they like to stir up trouble...when General George Washington took command of the colonials in Cambridge, MA, his distaste for them knew no bounds, and he did, I think, consider them, apart from the warm bodies, more trouble than they were worth...:) I have always thought their tendency to be troublemakers extended from their Puritan ideology. Being so self-righteously smug has long been a habit for those people.
They just lost their belief in an actual God, but kept all that self-righteousness.

You may be right...in the modern day Leftist enclave called Massachusetts, that certainly fits.

I have always thought their tendency to be troublemakers extended from their Puritan ideology. Being so self-righteously smug has long been a habit for those people. They just lost their belief in an actual God, but kept all that self-righteousness. This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
