The crews of those large landing ships are probably aware by now, of the target painted on their backs.

Cezar Kunikov died February 14th 1943 - the same date as the ship was sunk.

This would have to affect the morale of the crews...especially if none of the Caesar Kunikov crew survived.

DEEP SIX: @StevenHorrobin has analyzed still frames from the sinking of the RU landing ship Caesar Kunikov. Struck port-side amidships, damage to the machine spaces is evident. Fire then spreads to the well deck; down by the stern, Caesar Kunikov lists to port and founders.
