Based on satellite imagery, it appears the strike where the General was killed was a major IADS command center. In post 189, I pointed out the 96L6 radar, but satellite images from October also show 2x 5XH6U early warning radars, 6 transportable command center modules, and a Pantsir S2 Battery to protect them. Based on the configuration, and the presence of Lt General Tatarenko, it was a pretty important installation.
Considering Ukraine’s minimal, cobbled together SEAD/DEAD capability, they are having pretty impressive success. Russia’s IADS would not fare well against a peer/superior force.
