It is sinful “self thought” or rather lustful thoughts that are dwelled on and cultivated in the mind over and over until one day the person crosses the line and commits the act,,hav8ng seared their conscience agaisnt the holy spirit who has been continually trying to convince the person that it is an abomination and should not practiced.
Agree it degrades the mind on many other issues too.
