what’s wrong with cargo shorts? I wear them and I’m definitely a Gen Xer. I pocket carry (inside the wasteband is too uncomfortable). The side pockets on cargo shorts are perfect for this. I can’t wear jeans unless I’m also wearing a jacket so I can stuff by gun into a jacket pocket.

I’m 72 and I wear cargo shorts most of the time. It’s in the 20’s here in Charlotte and I wore cargo shorts earlier to walk the dog. Certain pockets are designated for certain “objects”, and these objects are pocketed in the same picket every time. Wearing dress slacks to the doctor’s office or jeans to an event requiring long pants...always puts me in a quandary as to what to do with the “limited” pockets.
