The U.S. Navy appears to have Ordered the Surge Deployment of the USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) and the remainder of Carrier Strike Group 9 (CSG-9) who Departed from Naval Base San Diego on Friday heading towards the Western Pacific; the Roosevelt was expected to Deploy within the next few months to Replace the USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) but it seems this has come much earlier than expected without any kind of Announcement or Press Release from the Navy.
This Deployment is likely linked to Rising Tensions in the Middle East following Strikes against the Houthis in Yemen as well as near Taiwan where the Pro-Independence Vice-President had recently Won the Presidential Election causing Anger within the Chinese Government.
It’s possible the Roosevelt or another Carrier may be moving towards the Middle East, with the USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN-78) recently Departing from the Eastern Mediterranean without a Replacement after being Underway for over 8 Months leaving only the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69) in the CENTCOM Area-of-Operations and the USS Bataan (LHD-5), who was supposed to be Replaced soon by the USS Boxer (LHD-4) but has now been Delayed by at least 2 Months.
According to U.S. Navy Officials, there has been a Significant Issue recently with the Replacement of Ships which are currently Deployed caused by the ongoing War in the Middle East, Undermanning, and Maintenance Problems.

How about a couple of Arclight strikes. A 24hr pounding by B52 will certainly help moral there.

Why are there So many Capitalized Words in this Report?
USS STARK.
Anyone remember that?
And so what if they die. There are 72 virgins waiting for them in heaven. Time to party! ... sarc
Yeah, I remember. They’re there sitting in the middle of the Persian Gulf with their CIWS TAGGED OUT. Deadly mistake.
Great from an environmental standpoint too as it would just be blasting sand rather than vegetation.
When they begin launching anti aircraft missiles, time to take the batteries out, forever.
Should have been done when Yemen had the big death to America rally.
10’s of thousand of enemy combatants out in the open.
Chanting death to America.
would have sent a very strong message.
DON’T MESS WITH US.
It’s a trap!

Yeah, we got sucker punched. Should never happen again. I worked with a guy who was on a carrier in the 50's. During a port call in South America, protesters came out in small boats, the ship played fire hoses on them to keep them away. I like NavyShoe's solution better: CIWS them 72 virgins, express delivery.
So what is our Comic in Chief ... I mean Commander in Chief going to do today besides call a lid and leave Jill in charge?
SecDef has this.
The time to take out those batteries is when they are first spotted. It is an active war zone where "the rebels" (and their Iranian backers) are supporting international piracy. Waiting around to get shot at is a losing strategy.
Designating the area as a "free-fire-zone" and killing anything that looks remotely hostile is a winning strategy.
We should have actual Congressional declarations of war to authorize these actions. And properly fund them. What a quaint notion.
Why does “Yemen” have to exist at all?
Why does the author capitalize every other word - does he think that’s cool?
Is that act an “unofficial” Iranian declaration of war?
And why is it any response will be called an “escalation”.
where ever it is...
