My personal criteria for validity of visual evidence from Russia is the youtube channel must be older than 2 years old. That is pretty good protection from propaganda, besides which the topics tend to be non political since the vlogger is trying to make money.

Intrigued with food prices and the overall quality of the store. The dollar conversion is largely meaningless since the trading exchanges are in countries hostile to Russia. My more fair measurement is % of typical monthly rent. That is a much more meaningful measurement.
Regardless, I have not seen any of my preferred vloggers talking about disruptions in life from heat or fires. There IS one solid data source. From Yakutsk, one of the coldest cities on Earth.
