The former mayor of Russian Vladivostok, Oleg Gumenyuk, who was sentenced to 12 years for bribery, has signed a contract with the Russian Defense Ministry and will already go to fight in Ukraine after serving only one year in prison.

Gumenyuk was the mayor of Vladivostok from 2019 to 2021. In January 2023, the court sentenced him to 16 years and 6 months in a penal colony of strict regime, recognizing him guilty of taking bribes worth 38 million rubles.

On appeal, the term was reduced to 12 years. The former official spent a year in prison.

Now he will fight for six months and get freedom! This scheme is now used by many prisoners.

At the same time, ordinary mobilized Russians do not get leave and cannot be demobilized.

Criminals only have to fight for 6 months.

Mobniks do not get leave and cannot be demobilized.

Then again S-battalions are frequently used for meat assaults. If he survives 3 months, he’s living on borrowed time. His chances of returning to Mother Moscovia are slim to none.
