In case anyone is wondering, all shades of Canadian political opinion are dead set against union with the USA whether it was a liberal-progressive regime or any other kind. We would rather take our chances with our own variety of snafu than becoming passengers on a different out of control flight into the unknown.
The one exception could be in the case of parallel national breakups into regional entities, then you could expect some support for like-minded regions looking favorably at union across the border.
Alberta would be one.
