I was gone by then, but I remember seeing my first snowflakes in Gainesville in the late 70’s, January. They melted as soon as they hit the ground but it was neat. The only snow I had seen before that was on vacation in the mountains.

Depends on what the Lefty Loonies need it to be at any given time.

AccuWeather 30 day currently doesn’t show it even that cold. Same with National Weather Service.

Snowpack way under climo norms ... we get through the next 3 weeks without at least 2 major continental blizzards and El Nino keeps gaining strength, it'll be a wonderfully-warm second-half to winter.

The map this article shows for Florida has Tampa at 27 degrees next 10 days. NWS 10-day forecast has it low 60’s. These jokers are nuts. Gobsmackingly?

Article’s map must be using some fringe weather model without consensus from others. I also think it’s obsolete, even for that model.

"Updated information on the looming climate emergency reveals an Arctic blast sweeping across the Pacific Northwest . . . "
I live just north of Seattle and I checked the 10-day forecast. High temperatures are projected to be as follows for the next 10 days:
Sunday (today): 45
Monday: 45
Tuesday: 46
Wednesday: 45
Thursday: 41
Friday: 30
Saturday: 31
Sunday: 31
Monday: 26
Tuesday: 33
Seems about normal for this time of the year.

Sounds like whining!
I moved to Florida some years back. Precisely because I do not worship in the Church of Global Warming.
Had I been an adherent, I suppose I should move to Newfoundland.

But it can’t be getting cold because the gov’mint % enviro-nazis say the world is getting too hot.

Sensationalism is so prevalent everywhere these days. Gotta always read and analyze between the hyperventilating screeching from main and social media these days. Probably just the typical arctic blasts that can occur every winter.

“Gen Z progressives.”
Articles could be sourced from any socialist nation in the world. And if the narrative and talking points are approved by the global communists they are thrown into a single source pool for the whole world to draw from and plagiarize as their own. They just personalize it with colorful comments along the way. The colorful comments and labels is the only thing “original” about them.

Temperatures even out to be a little above or below averages in a 90 to 180 day timespan. So all this warm weather will be paid for.
Lake effect snows should be spectacular given the warm lake temperatures.
