It is hard to pull news from Russia. Even some pages from the Kremlin are blocked here in the West. It seems our overlords are worried about can be read in the West. When you compare the Russian MOD and Ukrainian news releases, the Russian’s are more accurate, definitely more timely and way ahead of the actual admissions from the Western sources.
All you need to know is that every six months Russia is producing the equipment and training the troops to produce 450,000 new soldiers. They aim to have 2.1m under arms organized in four Corps Combined Arms formations. They trained 750,000 men in 2023. They are projected to product 400-450k in two six month training cycles in 2024, and repeat that in 2025. The Russia’s routinely publish that they are planning to finish this war in 2026, with 1.6/1.7m men fighting against Ukraine.
Ukraine has no exit stragety. Merkel in Germany taught us in 2023 that the Minsk II accords were a Grand Deception utilized by the West to finish a NATO buildup in Ukraine. Boris Johnson deep-sixed the Ukraine-Russian peace treaty after Ukrainian negotiators signed off on the draft to Kiev. Again, Ukraine and West decieved Russia. Putin is no mood to negotiate.
If you keep pace of the new equipment be producted in Russia, you will find that they are essentially overwhelming Ukraine and the West in terms of equipment, munitions and men.
January 2024 is the first time in this war that Russia will not be fighting against a Ukrainian army that outnumbered Russian forces. In 2022 Ukraine held a 4-1 theater advantage. In 2023 it was a 5-3 advantage in troops. In June or July Russia can essentially take a 2-1 advantage, and by December or January 2025 they will have 5-3 advantage. In 2026 they hope to have a 7-2.5 advantage in men and equipment.
Ukraine has no good options. Russia deployed a new Satillete Radar Combined Arms integrated battle system which it never had before, allowing them to see at night across all of Ukraine for the first time, about 6 weeks ago. This is the game changer. No missiles can tilt the advantages. This is going to be exactly what Putin and his generals say it will be, complete surrender and neutrality of Ukraine with veto’s on Ukraine military forces, equipment and where they can be stationed.
