One of the stated objectives by Russia is to eliminate the Ukrainian culture. Look at Crimea, Ukrainians under Russia have been treated as second class citizens

I’m sure you’re right - and can back up your position with credible facts. You have good judgement and sensitivities...

That siad, there’s lots of evil and pettiness in the world - and an abundance of ‘unfairness’ and injustice.

But the United States doesn’t have the resources to right these wrongs, This battle IMHO isn’t worth more than our own national concerns. We need to keep the Chinese out of our country and out of gaining more influence in South America. When we have our house in order and our borders secure. If those probems are solved I’ll start to care. For now I see this as two corrupt countries being corrupt - not our circuses - not our monkeys - not our business.,

You're right. Not a lot of 'clean hands' in this situation.

That said, Russia was the aggressor and carries the burden of starting an unjust war. While true I feel the United States has a larger responsibility to protect our own borders, our own economy, our own debt and our own freedom. For all I know, Russia invaded Ukraine with the goal of draining our resources on senseless war. Like Reagan getting into an arms race with the USSR with the goal of bankrupting the USSR with their own arrogance...

In a different time we had more money, and better leaders and might have had the ability to step in to all sorts of 'wrongs'. That's not the situation now - and I wouldn't be surprised to find out down the road that Ukraine was paying kickback to 'the elites' in DC. And that once again DC was selling out the American people. (Which does NOT excuse Russia's decision to invade).

Can we walk and chew gum at the same time? Looking at how fragile our country has become - and the way we're being played by ugly forces - I'd say 'no' - not at this time.
