Attack On Europe: Documenting Russian Equipment Losses During The 2022 Russian Invasion Of Ukraine

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When a vehicle is captured and then lost in service with its new owners, it is only added as a loss of the original operator to avoid double listings. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it's not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available.

Preliminary information:

At approximately 2120 EST, emergency vehicles responded to an incident on Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota.

By 2135 EST, eyewitnesses heard a large explosion at the air base.

The crew ejected as the aircraft went down in dense fog.

The crew is reportedly safe after ejecting.

The U.S. Air Force has not confirmed this.

North Korea stirring things up. It wouldn’t surprise me if they are doing this on behalf of Russia in order to make South Korea nervous about exporting artillery shells.

“The German government has just confirmed the delivery of one of the two Skynex air defence systems to #Ukraine!

Besides that — in terms of air defence — the delivery of >= 120 IRIS-T (SL) missiles, two TRML-4D air surveillance radars & 30 drone detection sensors was confirmed!”

I had noticed an increase in reports of unspecified ballistic missiles used.

North Korean ballistic missiles: KN-23 and KN-24 missiles - range 250 miles

KN-23 is similar to the Russian Iskander-M (Kinhzal)
KN-24 is similar to the US ATACMS

Israel took down “Lulu”, one of the top Hamas commanders & one of the key planners of 10/7.

He guided the terrorists through Israeli defenses on that day; he personally arranged everything of the Hamas operation.

When finally identified, he was in the open. Small drones dropped bombs on him, rendering him “ineffective”.

Other news, Israeli troops discovered a massive arms factory near the port on the coast. Engineers placed explosives at key points - the size of the explosion startled even the engineers, with smoke rising hundreds of meters: believed to have been caused by all of the explosives stored in the site.

The Kremlin threatened Orban over meeting with Zelensky

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban plans to meet with Vladimir Zelensky in the near future. This is reported by our sources in the diplomatic corps. According to our information, the meeting is planned to be held before the second anniversary of the start of the SVO - that is, no later than mid-February.

Sources claim that Orban received a clear signal from Moscow - if the meeting takes place, Hungary will lose 3 billion euros through various channels. We are talking about benefits for gas supplies, financing of public and right-wing political organizations. There is also talk about the inability to obtain loans or assistance for the country in the future.

Orban has not yet responded to Moscow regarding the meeting with Zelensky. The leaders of the European Union are pushing Budapest towards dialogue with Kiev. Some even hint at the possibility of expelling the country from a number of European organizations (but not from NATO - it is important to clarify this).

Orban himself is openly unpleasant about Zelensky, but the geopolitical situation is complex, and he is forced to respond to Kyiv’s attempts to conduct a dialogue. Previously, the Ukrainian authorities agreed to cave in to pressure from Orban regarding the linguistic rights of ethnic Hungarians in Ukraine.

Edit: Gerasimov was not in Crimea and is alive and well behind his desk. (Same source as above.)

“Gerasimov was not in Crimea and is alive”

If he had been killed, I doubt that it could have been covered up.

Good Morning All...1/5/2024.

“Gerasimov was not in Crimea and is alive”

BeauBo: If he had been killed, I doubt that it could have been covered up.

They haven't officially acknowledged this guy's death.

Some additional info on yesterday's attack:

23 Russian soldiers killed in yesterday’s Ukrainian missile strike against the Russian airbase in Saky, Crimea.

9 of them special forces, 5 high-ranking commanders.

Is it true that Valery Gerasimov died in Sevastopol?

The Ukrainian media and telegram channels today are actively disseminating information that the head of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Valery Gerasimov, was killed as a result of the attack on Sevastopol.

At first we did not want to respond to this information canard, but, at the request of readers, we clarified the information. In short, this is an outright fake of the Ukrainian TsIPsO.

Firstly, Gerasimov was not in Sevastopol at that time (we do not know exactly where he was, but our old friends assured us of this).

Secondly, sources from his close circle say that Gerasimov was not even injured. He is alive and well, commanding a group in the Northern Military District zone.

I believe that Gerasimov was not killed.

Perhaps this is Ukrainian disinformation designed to demoralize the mobniks at the front.

and now for some russian news....... yes this is russian news for today, from VZ news.

😱 Thousands of residents of the Moscow region are sitting without heat and light for the second day - the prosecutor's office has begun an investigation.

Residents of Khimki and Balashikha have been sitting without heating for more than a day - the temperature in their apartments is dropping every hour, locals write on social networks. Due to severe frosts, the pipes in the entrances burst; the only source of heating was a gas stove. In Solnechnogorsk, houses are freezing, there is ice and cracks on the windows, and the walls are covered with black mold.

In Klimovsk, about 20 thousand people have been waiting for electricity and heat for almost two days. It's only 10-12 degrees in houses now, people are posting pictures of frozen windows and doors. Some hung signs on their balconies that read “We’re freezing.” Residents began creating and signing petitions asking for a solution to the problem.

At night in Podolsk there was a breakthrough in the heating main of the local boiler house, people were left without light and heat in 20-degree frost. The accident was resolved this morning, but people have not yet been able to warm up.

Very interesting...especially paragraph 3.

I attended a briefing on Ukraine earlier today. The briefer made some very interesting observations about what's happening on the battlefield. Here are some takeaways from the brief that are unclass (of course) but interesting nonetheless:

1. DoD remains fully committed to Ukraine, and is "finding ways to work around the logjams to get things done." It's not $35B worth of materiel at a shot, but it shows that at least DoD understands the stakes (even if those across the river do not), knows that muscovy is our common enemy, and is being as creative as it can.

2. Ukraine is an excellent learning opportunity. Not surprisingly, battlefield data beats AFSIM and wargames any day. I would personally shorten that opportunity in exchange for a Ukrainian win, but that's not my call, and it's not the Department's call. Contact your Congressthing and tell them to support funding for Ukraine AND tell them to pressure the WH to release ATACMS, F-16s ... basically, to stop holding things up.

3. PATRIOT totally kicks ass. In one of the very recent large assaults by the imperialist Nazi baby killers, we went "10 for 10" against their Kinzahl uninterceptable hypersonic missiles. The assessment is, "Kinzahl is not a significant challenge for PATRIOT." And someone after the briefing was saying that the PATRIOTs in country right now are PAC-2s, not PAC-3s; if that's true, then we're slicing and dicing the much-vaunted "uninterceptable Kinzahl" with 1980s tech. Whether PAC-2 or PAC-3, KBM Nazitec can suck my solid-fuel missile trail.

4. FPV drones are effective -- to a point. Ukraine is using a lot of them, but their "net effectiveness" (not their performance) is limited, through no fault of the operators. There are ways of improving that effectiveness, though.... 🤔

Overall, it was an informative and positive discussion. Contact your Congressthings and encourage them to continue support.

According to TG Channels the hit target in Russian-occupied Crimea was an air defense base at the following coordinates:

45°13'08"N 33°15'36"E

Russians have activated GPS scrambler and closed the Kerch Bridge.

https://twitter.com/Tendar/status/1742938465699062023

...Russians have activated GPS scrambler...

So, apparently we have the ability to detect their GPS scrambler.

GPS jamming is not effective against StormShadow missiles.

from TG.....

Reinforcements from the Russian Federation are ending near Avdeevka

The almost three-month active Russian offensive on Avdeevka has significantly depleted the reserves of the Russian Armed Forces. There are no longer any fresh units from Russian territory in the required quantity, so in mid-December they began to transfer troops from the south-eastern front to Avdeevka. We are talking about units that occupied the third and fourth lines of defense, rear units, formations consisting of prisoners. The Russian command brings soldiers from Mariupol, Berdyansk, and even Genichesk to Avdeevka.

The situation for the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Avdeevka and around it remains difficult, but not as critical as half a month ago, when reserves arrived from the Russian Federation. Now fresh units from Russian territory are being sent to Bakhmut.

Maybe they are trying to provoke a reaction - see where he goes in reaction, or if they reveal some info about his whereabouts, to disprove the allegation.

In general (a little pun), it is generally a good rumor to spread about enemy commanders.
