Attack On Europe: Documenting Russian Equipment Losses During The 2022 Russian Invasion Of Ukraine

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When a vehicle is captured and then lost in service with its new owners, it is only added as a loss of the original operator to avoid double listings. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it's not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available.

... blown up by a PTM-3 mine dropped from a drone.

Mobnik training does not include EOD.

He was probably told to remove the obstruction so the tanks could get through.

"Japan's decision to provide Kyiv with Patriot air defense systems will have serious consequences for Russian-Japanese relations,"

- the Russian Foreign Ministry.

My guess is the Japanese Patriot missiles are early versions and are nearing the end of their shelf life.

Japan has received permission to manufacture PAC-2 and PAC-3 missiles under license.

Win-Win.

Ukrainian FPV drones eliminating Russian tanks, starting with a direct hit of the ammo-rack of a MBT and catapulting the turret into the next dimension. What an impressive turret toss.

I tried to estimate the altitude and when we assume that the tree is 15m tall and the fact that the turret even left the frame then we easily exceed 100m.

F-16 Fighter Jets may have already arrived in Ukraine ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ

Newsweek was told after Kyiv shot down 5 Russian Fighter Jets near Crimea, over the Black Sea, and around Mariupol

A US ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ source told Newsweek on Wednesday that it was likely Ukraine had indeed received its first F-16s

https://twitter.com/ukraine_map/status/1740050970153992623

It is likely true that the first couple F-16s have arrived in Ukraine.

However, the first couple of jets delivered are always used for maintenance training.

The jets are used to train things like engine removal and replace (R&R)...ejection seat R&R...LRU R&R...etc.

I doubt that F-16s are flying combat missions.

Japan plans to supply 155mm shells to United Kingdom

I wonder how many 155mm shells can be shipped in a C-17.

โœˆ๏ธ๐Ÿค The first batch of F-16 fighter jets is expected to arrive in Ukraine in a few days.

These will be flown by Ukranian pilots.

The planes will be painted in the Ukranian paint scheme.

Hopefully, they will be parked in shelters similar to the shelter below.

C-17 cargo weight = 42,000 lb.The average weight of a 155mm shell (44lb) plus propellant charge (2.l b). Divide 42000/46=913 shells and propellant. Less because they are all packaged - so say 850 shells per C-17 flight.

Which is why this stuff comes by ship and is distributed by rail.

Hopefully, the ship from Japan docks in Harwich, England, where they get paperwork for follow-on shipment directly to Rotterdam.

The FOD issues associated with the F-16 are well known.

Hopefully, sufficient equipment to sweep the primary runways, divert runways, and highway landing strips are also being provided.

FOD walks should be accomplished several times a day.

No transshipment involved. Load once, unload once:

Port of Bremen, Germany, and from there direct by rail to Poland, then to Ukraine.

Thought 44 lbs was light, but I was in a hurry, which is why I posted the graphic so you’all could check my numbers.

It makes your point that that artillery shells can’t be moved in quantity by aircraft.

The logistic train for any mechanized army is roughly half the weight is fuel, a quarter is artillery ammunition, and the remaining quarter is everything else.

“The average weight of a 155mm shell (44lb)”

Kilos, not pounds. Its about 100 pounds a round. Artillerymen get a serious workout.

“for some reason I donโ€™t remember that scene”

It is part of the “Ding Dong the Witch is Dead” scene, shortly before the Wicked Witch of the West shows up to spoil the party.
