This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When a vehicle is captured and then lost in service with its new owners, it is only added as a loss of the original operator to avoid double listings. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it's not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available.

Summarizing this war:
A tragedy for Ukraine.
A disaster for RuZZia.
A strategic win for the USA.

“Here is the best-kept secret about U.S. military aid to Ukraine: Most of the money is being spent here in the United States. That’s right: Funds that lawmakers approve to arm Ukraine are not going directly to Ukraine but being used stateside to build new weapons or to replace weapons sent to replace weapons sent to Kyiv from U.S. stockpiles. Of the $68 billion in military and related assistance Congress has approved since Russia invaded Ukraine, almost 90 percent is going to Americans, one analysis found.”

Correction - daily casualty counts:
Dec 1 = 1,280
Dec 2 = 1,070
Dec 3 = 930
Dec 4 = 770
Dec 5 = 1,030
Dec 6 = 1,270
Dec 7 = 1,120
Weekly Total = 7,470
Weekly Dead (/3) = 2,490
Monthly Dead = 9,960
Not counting all those Russian troop bodies missed or casualties that died of wounds.
Roughly 120,000 dead a year. How long can a country of 144 million sustain that large a loss of males, before the country is irrevocably harmed?
I read, in total, some 17,300 tanks were produced by the Soviet Union or Russia between the late 1950s and now.
According to claims by Kyiv, Russia has lost 5,520 tanks since February 2022.
The numbers are all over the place. Depends on where you read about losses.
Most of the USSR’s tanks were stored in the Far East in the open, subject to the elements, many of those had parts stolen from them and sold off by command officers, other were exported to other countries.
This might help you determine how many operable tanks as of April 2023
-—> How Many of Each Type of Tank Does Russia Have In Storage? <——
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2PHUK6zkbpc
Type - Good - 2023
T-54/55 = 270
T-62 = 560
T-64 = 248
T-72 = 1841
T-80 = 942
T-90 = 50
~3,911 operational tanks in storage as of ~04/07/2023 | Ball park tank number.
The numbers are not all over the place, they have been confirmed by many other sources to be near the number above
Subsequent images of the tank storage yard show them to be mostly emptied out - as for production, its around 300 a month which barely keeps up with losses.
When was the image taken?
How may of them can be made operational?
Looks like one or more T-34s in the background. Fearsome!!
I just took it from this site, remember about a year or more ago there were some great photos of Russian tanks rotting in storage, real messes, but this one was quick.

26 of our soldiers tragically died in Donetsk
During a massive shelling of Donetsk on Wednesday, December 6, enemy shells hit fuel tanks in one of the city’s districts. A strong fire started, and material losses from it are still being calculated.
At the same time, according to two officers who are in the DPR, 26 of our military personnel were killed and another 31 were injured as a result of the shelling and fire.
“Near the oil depot, some fool set up a temporary camp for fighters who literally arrived in Donetsk the day before yesterday. Right next to the oil depot!
“As a result, shells landed on them, plus they were caught in the fire from the burning fuel. Some of the guys simply burned,” the military man told us. located in Donetsk.
According to him, the number of victims could be higher, since some bodies could have been completely burned as a result of the fire that started after the shelling.
Another added that the military had recently been transferred to Donetsk from the Rostov region. They were going to be sent to storm Avdiivka.
The officers passed through us a request to the General Staff and the Ministry of Defense to investigate how it turned out that the soldiers were stationed in such an inappropriate place. And find those responsible for the deaths of the guys.
99% of those are not tanks. They are APCs and SP Arty.
