I think behind this is the government’s real fear of people who actually choose to read and think freely. Remember some years ago when H. Clinton opined that a society has to have common values and those values should come from the government? We are there, not for everyone yet, but certainly for the government’s own inmates.

Honestly, no one in the government, or military, should be engaging or accessing political websites of any sort DURING WORK HOURS. You do that kind of stuff at home. Military firewalls already block websites like the Gateway Pundit, and many, many others, whether they be conservative or liberal.
So this actually comes as no surprise to me.
