The people who claim that the cost of living has not gone up much are absolutely wrong.
They pick items to determine that increase that is not what ordinary people tend to need to buy. It’s easy to manipulate statistics by picking and choosing what you are using to make them.
You got that right! It’s crazy how the media and administration are trying to say things are not as bad as they were. No, they are worse! Hate going to a store anymore. It just makes me so angry when I get to the check out. We go to WalMart for a lot of things since they are cheaper than any other places here [other than the dollar stores on some items]. What used to cost me less than $200 for a big supply of items we need/use every day is now pushing the $400 mark! I really feel sorry for people with young kids. I don’t know how they are doing it? And us, being on a fixed income, I am really watching my pennies these days. Makes me fear the day I can not afford to buy what we need at the rate things are going.
