Could be. Dogs can read body language and facial expressions. At least, my dog can. She can read my “do you want a treat” expression and then she goes nuts. I had fun making family think she was reading my mind...lol.

Yup! The dog knows to stop as soon as its owner moves his head and says “good boyyee!!”. If the owner remained
expressionless and kept the same exact postion that he had while the dog was “counting”, the dog would have just kept going. Ask the dog what SIN(40°) is and if he gets that right I’ll be convinced.
