It sounds like a lot of confusion!
They were going to place the flag pole bracket on the outside wall so I could have it ready for Monday, and when they were haggling about where I wanted the bracket (never mind me, standing in my own doorway) the guy from apartment #1 comes and tells them, “no-no-no, it’s all wrong, the wind blew his off three times before the bracket was put in the right place,” and all three of them march off to #1 to listen to what the guy has to say.
He lives four apartments away from where I lived (#6) when he moved in, and the wind in that section is at the bottom of the “hill” so that the entrance acts like a funnel and sucks the air out to the street. What he experienced with his flagpole is because he didn’t take the wind into consideration the first time.
Anyway, long story short, after an hour, I sent a text to Chuck asking if I should wait for tomorrow (training for Bethany) or Tuesday, since Monday is a paid holiday. It took about 20 more minutes before the answer came back “tomorrow.”
Meanwhile, I have no lights in my kitchen where I need them, so fixing Chip’s food is going to be difficult and doing any baking is going to be impossible because I was using the light on the range hood to see by. Now, I have no light over the sink AND no light over the stove-top because the switch for both of them is out until such time as Chuck figures out what needs to be changed. And the light in the overhead fixture still hasn’t been replaced.
I don’t know where Jim is, because he’s been MIA since around noon so I’m the lucky person who has been caught between a rock a really dumb situation. So I’m going to try and let the stress roll off me and find a good book to read, then hope I can sleep. *sheesh*
