Good morning. Happy Twosday!

We’re supposed to get up to 66 fs today, assuming those who do the guessing are guessing correctly. I wonder if there are weather app ratings that score the percentage of days the app is correct about things like the high, the amount of precipitation, etc.

Things are very normal around here. Young ArGee tolerated sharing her birthday with Earth Day yet again, although she’s not happy right now about how her life goals are lining up with her current age.

Back into the Wordle valley today. Too many words end with the same 4 letters, and too many of those haven’t won yet.

I never get over the cuteness of the Morning Kitties. Thanks for starting my days off right!

Good morning. I hope you had a good night, and that there were no interruptions from any quarter.

I slept. I wanted to sleep some more but after my last pit stop I couldn’t relax enough to get another hour’s worth.

Nothing is going on today except to put away the clothes I washed yesterday. What fun! Clean clothes! I’d love to hang them up outside but I don’t dare...yet.

Oh, golly! I hated when that happened!

Better luck with tomorrow’s!

Good Morning and Good Day!

Enjoying the sunshine and dryness for a change...

My latest bug is with the NOAA/NWS Storm Prediction Center, they seem to paint with the broadest of brushes constantly... which triggers all of the local mets into reciting the litany of possibilities in the huge geographic expanses covered by the SPC maps... I have been wishing that their coverage maps would be graded for accuracy and would force them into being a bit more careful with those broad brushes they use.... /rant-off

I would have matched your score but on row 5 I tried the word that I thought ‘they’ would use, rather than my first instinct...

I pull up weather.com on my computer, read the current weather, the temps for the next few days, and if I want big ol’ honkin’ weather maps, I click on one or more of the boxes. Then I don’t have to be ranting at the idiocy of the talking heads.

My dad was the best weather predictor I ever saw in action. He’d go outside at night, stand on our big porch, look up at the sky for a few minutes and tell us what the weather would be for the next 24-120 hours, and he was seldom wrong.

Good morning. I want to sleep more, too. Wasn’t a bad night, though.

Going to the library is planned today.

That sounds like a real gift, did he have formal training, or just the knowledge that he picked up through Life?

At the risk of sounding like an old lady, *ahem* I was a wee tot when I would stand outside with him on the milder nights, especially in summer. By then, he was in his late 60’s and was, himself, the last child of Pioneer parents.

What knowledge he had was to begin with, gleaned from books (our house was filled with them and it was common for us children to receive books for special occasions) or, practical experiences due to his growing up/working years, or lore handed down from Pioneer grandparents, aunts and uncles, and all of the above.

He was one of the smartest men I ever knew, as well as talented and clever. All his intellectual assets were passed on to my siblings, so me being next to youngest, I didn’t get any. My younger sister was The Baby, and still is, so all she had to do was be cute.

My dad never passed up a chance to learn something new.

He sounds like quite a guy.

Where as I never pass up a chance to re-learn something I once knew.

I like that!

It was a gorgeous sunny day, so I went out and stood in the sunshine for a while.

Tomorrow will be better, but the next two days won’t be quite so much fun. We’re supposed to have rain on Friday, so maybe it will be enough to rinse the dust spots off The Raisin.

Good morning. Happy Humph Day!

We have rain for most of the day, moderating our temps a bit. It will be a sort-of “blah” day. But that’s OK. There’s a lot to be said for “blah” considering the kind of excitement that often comes our way.

I woke up at 2 this morning to relieve myself and there was an extra body on the bed. Mrs. ArGee doesn’t have any idea what time the Princess joined us. I guess it won’t be long before she’s just on the bed with us from the start, although the waterproof fleece will be kind of warm for me.

I got a rather pedestrian Wordle score today.

Blissful kitty!

Good morning. Did you have a restful night?

Insomnia struck again. Stupid cycles.

But I’ll take a shower in a bit and feel better.

It’s 59Β° with a high expected of 82Β°, which is about seven degrees cooler than yesterday. There will be clouds this afternoon, but not too many. Then it will be 75, 62 and 71 on the next three days, with rain on Friday. Oh joy. I guess we have a few days of winter to catch up on before we can have spring.
