my personal feeling is that CBS wanted to get out ahead of the pack with a credible conservative voice in place before the dam breaks on all the DS corruption & the blood hits the water.
imo, she was being fed accurate info from the patriots during he time at faux, and CBS saw her as an asset with connections none of their investigative (60 min type) reporters could access.

Agreed. And the newish head of CBS said when hired that he wanted to make a news outlet that wasn’t only lefitst=watched or biased, I am paraphrasing. I was surprised when I read that.
