Hamas p.r. has successfully mapped the Israeli state onto a Marxist model that says it is “colonialism,” and colonialism is the worst thing western Marxists can think of.
I don’t think the left (other than Arabs!) hates Jews, but they hate that they, as Americans, are supporting with cash a country that they think is doing something bad.
This is a helpful framing if you want to argue with one of them, because calling them anti-Semites won’t work, but finding all the ways in which the state of Israel is not a colonial power, is helpful.
Democrats are calling for the Gaza Muslims to be moved to the USA (and given all the usual benefits at taxpayer expense).
Um, I wonder what would happen if that was done.
