Met a lot of native Vermonters when I used to ski there every winter. They sometimes seemed to be living up to a cliched Vermont way of talking but no, it was really the way they talked.
“Could be it’ll snow later on today. Then on the other hand, maybe t’won’t.”
Great people. They rode around on horses a lot in those days; probably still do. Honest and helpful as possible, while always minding their own business. I miss them.
They are indeed nice.
