The difference is that Israelis do not TARGET civilians, whereas Hamas terrorists DO. Hamas surrounds themselves with civilians, so the civilian casualties are the fault of Hamas, not Israel.

The Western world, and especially America and Israel, spend billions and billions on weapons to better target the enemy. This has the added advantage of less civilian, collateral death. The Saturday People (Jews) and the Sunday People (Christians) are to be destroyed wherever they are, whatever age they are, always and forever. Collateral damage and death are the goals of these animals.
It would be very easy to completely destroy Gaza, above and below ground. One credible report stated that almost every other building in Gaza, large or small, has access, is an access point, to the underground terror city/network. I imagine that rejection of creating the tunnel is not good for your health.
