Some thoughts:
- from the list of the crimes in one of the articles, they were all committed in SE DC, which means most if not all of the victims were black; all of them suffered considerable financial loss
- ironically, those same car owners may well, themselves, benefit from the stolen car economy in terms of fake registrations, repairs, or even stolen cars themselves
- those carjackings were all with accomplices in another car; it’s organized and coordinated
- it is clear that the kid has Jack the Ripper type handlers who use his age as cover for their operation
- it also means that the kid will just be replaced by some other kid
- since the kid had been previously detained, the parent/s know about his activities; likely everyone he deals with knows, from neighbors to schools to the social workers, etc.;
- with no mention of joy rides or recoveries, the stolen cars had a destination, which means the criminal enterprise extends well past the carjackings
In this microcosm, we here have the entire failed leftist project on display.
For my own use, I have stumbled on to a litmus test about attitude towards guns.
It is as simple as: Take any life situation. If an “officer” can carry AND USE, and a “citizen” cannot, scrutinize.

Not just “some” people knew, they all knew. It goes with the territory.
A mother should not have to worry when her son goes out for an afternoon of car jacking. Smart, funny and talented Vernard Toney Jr., was probably trying to raise a few dollars for his college tuition. An aspiring physicist described by his mother as “a good boy.” She probably neglected to give him “the talk.”
I forgot to add that much of those behaviors are drug- and/or sloth- fueled, which is funded by welfare, housing, food and other supports federal dollars.
We’re all subsidizing it one way or another, via taxes, insurance and other distorted costs.
“Child”- witchcraft by ‘spell-ing’ the media uses.
I tell parents of out of control children, “Go ahead and don’t discipline your child, the cops and the public will be happy to shoot them when they continue their violence.”
Thank God the perp is dead. Praise the Lord!

He was a good boy. Just made bad decisions. He loved his mamma and his kids. He wanted to go to college to be an aeronautical engineer.
Must have been a black victim as I haven’t heard of any riots at Foot Locker yet.
Just think of the never ending legal system. Arrest, courtrooms & clerks, public defenders, probation officers, incarceration (if ever), and the cycle starts right over again.
This is why they keep putting them back on the street, it’s an entire industry, run by the left, not unlike public education.
