Neither does Russia. This is Putin's second term as president and under the constitution, his last.

Who were the opposing candidates, and where are they now? How long is term in the presidency? What other political parties are there in Russia? By what percentage did Putin win election and re-election? Could Putin ever lose an election?

This is off one of our coasts all the time.
We cannot detect it underwater but we catch it surfacing now and then.
Russia has been preparing for war with us for ten years.
The torpedoes from this sub are unable to be detected by anything we have.
There is, in fact, a very good chance that Russia could obliterate the entire east coast before we had a chance to respond.
There is also, imo, a good chance that the Chinese balloon drifting over Montana has gotten enough info for Russia that they can disarm it with hacking.
When I was in Russia I met a ten yr old boy whose English was so perfect at first I thought he was Anerican.
He was choosing a third language to learn.
We are graduating entire classes of kids who cannot read or do math.
We are going to lose this war. Count on it.

“The second role is one of nuclear strike and deterrence. For this she will be armed with six ‘2м39′ Poseidon torpedoes. These are a whole new category of weapon not fielded by any another navy. They have been described as ‘Intercontinental Nuclear-Powered Nuclear-Armed Autonomous Torpedoes’. At over 20 meters (65 feet) long they are in effect they are giant underwater drones with practically unlimited range and a nuclear warhead. And their expected performance (around 70 knots and 1,000 meters depth) mean that they cannot be countered with existing weapons

More doom porn by Michael Snyder. Snyder must wear diapers all day for the amount of doom he peddles.

That said - there are some issues to consider, such as frequency of the rhetoric, any changes in how Putin articulates the threat, etc.

And putin seems to be of the belief that having his population in bomb shelters will ensure the survival of Russia.

Russia is putting cobalt in their nuclear warheads. He's correct that nothing will live in this country after they nuke us.

Problem is, there will be enough radioactive cobalt all over the planet to ensure that all life will be eradicated on land, perhaps not the oceans.

There will be no day after. There will be no new Hiroshima or Nagasaki out of the ashes and beautiful today.

I don't think people are paying attention to the technology that will be deployed.

I was in Moscow living with Russians on his first election day.

People were very excited.

“The Constitution of the Russian Federation specifies that the President is the Russian head of state, setting domestic and foreign policy and representing Russia both within the country and internationally [Article 80].[6] While the original constitution stipulated a four-year term and a maximum of two terms in succession, the current constitution decrees a six-year term. The four-year term was in effect while Vladimir Putin served his first and second terms; with the two-term limit, he was barred from the presidency in 2008. Instead, he served as Prime Minister while Dmitry Medvedev served as president for four years. Putin was re-elected to his third term in 2012; with the six-year term, he was elected to his fourth term in 2018. Article 81 specifies the method of election, including a secret ballot; Articles 82–93 detail powers, responsibilities, and limitations of the presidency. The constitution provides for a “strong presidency”; not only is the president the “Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation”,[7] the president also has the power to dissolve the State Duma.[8]”

It dismays me that so many freepers don’t look for information so easily found, but instead regurgitate CNN or other low IQ talking points.

Speaks not highly of our country.

Nukes in warehouses don’t count.

The totality of numbers for any country (in order, Russia, USA, China, France, UK, India, Pakistan, Israel and North Korea (Iran???)) for all nuclear weapons are not the numbers available to go to war on a moment’s notice.

The warheads currently in missiles—silos, truck carriers or submarines, in cruise missiles, and bombs in aircraft bomb bays—right now—is what will matter. In other words, are they in delivery systems that can launch/take off right now?

The known warehouses (these are well known through intelligence and technical means) will be vaporized with the first strikes of any country.

And the leadership of each country will be high-value targets, too. Intelligence on all sides keep track of their location every minute. When we see Putin head for his bunker, NORAD will activate a higher DEFCON and SAC (meaning Strategic Command, now without the “Air”) will make ready as best they can.

This equally applies to Biden, Xi, Macron, Sunak, Haq Kakar, Modi, Netanyahu and Kim. Each adversary tracks their opponent’s leadership.

Hey look at the shiny ball over there in Ukraine/Russia and ignore the Biden boot on your face.

Everything is fine here, the borders are secure, the queers just want to be left alone, the drug cartels are not in your neighborhood, crime is low, there is no inflation, interest rates are low, no deficit, the economy is great, no one is forcing you to get the COVID jab, no joke. Russia, Russia, Russia. /spit

You rock. Thank you.
I have said this a few times.

Not true at all. your link says no such thing. The Russians say so, but we do not give away our secrets and our detection methods.

I would expect her sinking the moment the balloon goes up. The USN Second Fleet was actually reestablished because of her.

No one wins a nuclear war. To think so is folly.

Pray for peace.

That's why I'm here, for you to enlighten me.

No thanks.

Who loves ya, baby? Putin’s Christianity is on full display once again!

Nothing says “love your neighbor as yourself” like unleashing thermonuclear war upon them and the world.

He treats Ukraine like a jealous ex-husband treats his ex-wife. He doesn’t like her new friends and the insufferable gasturd just won’t let her move on and have her own life without him.

Forgive him, Lord. He knows not what he does.

"Never Attempt To Teach a Pig To Sing; It Wastes Your Time and Annoys the Pig."

When YOU claim to know more than the pig, then, it's your duty to train the pig, if you want the pig to succeed. Otherwise, it's YOU that are being lazy and showing that you have no idea of what YOU'RE talking about.

So, go ahead and enlighten us with your superior intelligence and superior knowledge. If not, get the 'f" off the internet.

Who told you Russia is a poor country?
The same people who told you Trump is a racist?

Russia is the 5th largest economy in the world.
1.China ($31.559 billion)
2.US ($23.149 billion)
3.India ($15.875billion)
4.Japan ($5.675 billion)
5. Russia ($5.510 billion)
6. Germany ($5.011 billion)
7. Indonesia ($4.811 billion)
8. Brazil ($4.288 billion)
9. Turkey ($3.696 billion)
10. France ($3.533 billion)

Where is the UK? 😂😂😂

Russia is building Lada plants in Africa and
other countries. I had to mention because I truly
love Ladas. So far, Ethiopia, UAE, and Oman.

Russia has a GDP higher than France and Germany.

On Russian and Asian forums, they post videos of blocks and blocks of homeless in tents, the black water coming from faucets in Jackson, Mi and more.

They are completely amazed that we care so little for our own people.

Russia is not a poor country.
We are a poor country.
Germany and France are becoming poor countries.

If we avoid WW3, Russia will be among the very top wealthiest countries in the world.
By then, we will be a third world country.
We are heading that direction now....drop in lifespan, infant mortality, etc.

https://theconversation.com/us-is-becoming-a-developing-country-on-global-rankings-that-measure-democracy-inequality-190486

“The United States may regard itself as a “leader of the free world,” but an index of development released in July 2022 places the country much farther down the list.

In its global rankings, the United Nations Office of Sustainable Development dropped the U.S. to 41st worldwide, down from its previous ranking of 32nd. Under this methodology – an expansive model of 17 categories, or “goals,” many of them focused on the environment and equity – the U.S. ranks between Cuba and Bulgaria. Both are widely regarded as developing countries.

The U.S. is also now considered a “flawed democracy,” according to The Economist’s democracy index.”

Ha ha. Enjoy. We are making plans to expat.

I will try to remember to keep in touch with you.

Also note that 3 of the 4 countries above Russia have FAR BIGGER populations than Russia (or Ruzzia, for you Biden-policy supporters), and Japan only a slightly lower population.

Kind of a bummer that the Neocons are so OBSESSED with Russia that they never bothered to notice China overtaking us, or give a damn about it.
