House Republicans make history by decapitating themselves. Now what?

Now things will really change! Eight members of the House Republican caucus combined with House Democrats to remove a Republican Speaker for the crime of … [checks notes] … allegedly working with Democrats.
And now, the House will grind to a halt while Republicans pick the next Speaker, who will still have to work with a Senate run by Democrats and a Democrat in the White House to accomplish anything other than investigations. Which, by the way, Kevin McCarthy already had operating.
(snip)
So what comes next? Probably more epic faceplanting.
(snip)
The most likely way out of this impasse will be to find someone acceptable to enough Democrats to overcome the Rebel Alliance in the GOP. That’s what McClintock means, and that will be precisely where Gaetz et al will have led the Republican majority. And to get there, the GOP will likely have to give up its investigations into Biden Inc in order to get the House back underway.

Now someone else acts as speaker and it’s business as usual, other than floor time will be taken up selecting the next speaker.
Being that congress seems to do more harm than good, it’s actually better for the country if they are slowed down.

It is not for nothing that Republicans have earned the distinctively derogatory reputation for being “the stupid party”.
“Circular firing squad” and “shooting yourself in the foot” are both self-destructive, and usually pointless, unforced errors in the game where the stakes are sometimes much higher than the players seem able to perceive.

Tell me how they come out any weaker? LOL, sure because beheading your own leadership makes you stronger. Its what the democrats do all the time, not
tell me how it can get any worse?
Its already worse. You do realize the next speaker will be in an even weaker negotiating position vs the democrats.

“ Right, McCarthy proposed a temporary spending bill..”
Another CR which he specifically promised wasn’t going to happen.
Good riddance to him.

How is it that far left nancy pelosi was able to deliver, for the far left, far left victories with a slim majority?
Yet paid social media influencers here at FR claim McCarthys failures were due to having a slim majority? And therfore his failures are actually commendable.
What say RinoInc?

McCarthy broke every single promise he made.
Rewarding failures only begets more failure.

Well Trump the Rump backed McCarthy so maybe you can explain that along with the fact that Gaetz need dimwit votes to thrown McCarthy out. By the way Rump puppet DeSantis is not in the house he is the governor of Florida
Well, it's hard to explain pragmatic politics to simpleton DeSanctimonious Trolls.
They are oh so NOT so bright and they aren't here for an honest debate or discussion.
It's pretty much a lost cause!

Let it ground to a halt. And let it be ground to a halt for years. Or, seeing Republicans are inept and ineffective will lead to the democrats being elected.

So what's the plan moving forward, ace?
Whatever it is, for right now, I don't care.
McCarthy was held accountable for his inaction/wrong actions.
Right now, I just want to savor the moment!

Democrats put uncompromising strong leaders in leadership positions. Say what you want about Nancy Pelosi, she didn’t compromise and was effective at her job. That she was completely evil is beside the point, she did what she was there to do.
Putting RINO’s like McCarthy in positions of power ensures a slow death by a thousand cuts, constantly compromising with evil until you look around & there’s nothing left to compromise on, they’re in complete control and you’re a slave. McCarthy is a McClellan, we need a Grant.
