I do know that it was thought that the Terracotta warriors were based on real people, because the details of each statue is too varied to be made up by humans.

Maybe a receptacle of each warrior that dies.

Because he was an Emperor and could have it done for him. He probably started on his mausoleum the minute he became emperor.
