It started with my coach in Jr High and by the time that DI was in my face I won’t flinch, my eyes stayed straight ahead and even his colorful descriptions of my abilities, family tree and sexual prowess did not make me smile.
Most kids today need to get out, fall down and rub some dirt on it. Another lost lesson: Not everything that makes you feel bad is bullying. In my day it was called the school of hard knocks.
Thanks to every Coach out there!

There’s been a culture of anti-bullying bullying which has turned the concept on its head, and make people feel so entitled to bully others about inane stuff that they have psychotic breaks when *anyone* around them fails to pander to them.

I couldn’t agree more - football (sandlot, high school, junior college), and the Army basic training added to the mix. Then the Lord blessed me with a sweet little wife and a house full of daughters.
