Landis went on to tell the Times that while he had always viewed Oswald as the lone gunman, he is no longer sure. At this point, I’m beginning to doubt myself. Now I begin to wonder.

Yet for the last sixty years he viewed Oswald as the lone gunman. What changed that made him start to doubt that? The article doesn't say anything in that regard. Perhaps he was just trying to get his name in the paper? I'm not saying Oswald was necessarily the lone gunman, but a sudden change of mind by an 88 year-old guy sixty years later based on no new evidence doesn't seem particularly newsworthy to me.

As one article cited the “Case Closed” author as pointing out, NEVER trust someone’s memory when it’s clearer years after the incident than just after the incident first happened.
