Good question. You were born in a district, not a state.
It's not a good question. If both of his parents were citizens, it doesn't matter whether he was born in a state, a district, or Antarctica. He's a natural born citizen.

He had responded to someone saying that you had to be born in a U.S. state, to be natural born. Since the District of Columbia is not a state, the question came up.
