This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When a vehicle is captured and then lost in service with its new owners, it is only added as a loss of the original operator to avoid double listings. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it's not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available.

“reports that Russian authorities plan the mobilization of 30,000 Crimean residents.”
The next big wave of Russian mobilization is expected next month (Sep), possibly in conjunction or just after elections on the 18th.
They have had a long time to plan this, and close loopholes that hampered last September’s mobilization.
Like last year, I expect that a big chunk will be rushed to the front lines within weeks, while the bulk are formed for Winter or Spring offensive Operations.

ISW, 28 Aug 2023:
A Ukrainian intelligence official indicated that Russian forces may have marginally replenished their stocks of high-precision missiles through conservation in the summer of 2023.
Ukrainian officials stated that Russian forces may intend to resume a wider campaign against Ukrainian critical infrastructure in the fall of 2023, but assessed Russia likely has not replenished its missile stocks to sustain a campaign on the scale of the winter 2022-2023 strikes.
Ukrainian officials assessed that any upcoming Russian strike campaign may employ new tactics that use fewer missiles and more drones.
Just saw a CNN report, that in terms of percentage of GDP, Russian Defense spending has roughly tripled - now around 8 to 10% of GDP.
“Russian Defense spending has roughly tripled”
Burning through their reserves and rainy day funds.
“Russian Defense spending has roughly tripled”
As a percentage of GDP, while real GDP shrinks - larger slice of a smaller pie. In rubles, it has more than doubled.
The numbers may be getting bad enough, that they will start seriously looking for a way out. Lets see what comes from the talks between Putin and Erdogan (4 Sep?).
I think it likely that Putin will continue pushing too hard rather than retreat. Erdogan will likely try to gouge big concessions from Putin while he is weak.
Members of the Russian elite should really get serious about having a bug out plan.
